Re: How do i save the image once i have scanned it on...
It may be that you have to close the program - i had a similar problem at first but found it stores them all until the program is closed, then a window pops up with little thumbnails of all my scans (meaning you can continue to scan new images without apparently having saved them to the harddrive). This new window allows the user to untic whichever scans are not desired... there is a svae button at the bottom, and the svaed scans will be found in the Pictures folder in a sub-a folder with that days date as the name.

You need to install the scanning program first, it should be in a CD when you purchase the scanner. Install the program, install scanner to make sure that scanner works. Once it's done, you lauch a program, put you document in scan and scan it, the image should be saved into your computer.
Select your Operating system/ version of Windows.
Select your language.
Click the latest available driver for your scanner.
Be sure to accept the terms at the bottom fo the driver download page.
Save the driver to you My Documents file or Desktop and then once downloaded, double click the file to install the driver.
Click on above link select your os and download driver for it.
Then install. Then connect it to computer with usb cable.
Then open my computer then you can see scanner icon there open it and scan .

Download the XP driver for the Canoscan N650U scanner and save it on your desktop. Once the download is finished go to your desktop and unzip or unrar it and then plug in your scanner and try installing it - let it fail. Then, go into your control panel, device manager, find your scanner - right click "update driver software" go in and tell it where to look - here is where it tells you the driver isn't encoded properly but it gives you the option to install it anyway and it works just great - it'll re-organize in your device manager under imaging devices when done. -kudos goes to "expertz" from techarena
When you scan something you are asked in which directory you want to save the file. Now the esiest way for you to find out where all the images are being saved is to scan something and when you get the pop up asking where you want to save the file, go to the directory. Once you are in the directory you can delete all you want.Really hope this can help you. Please rate this.
