Paper keeps jamming

I have only had this printer about a week, and it has been fine so far but today it jammed up suddenly. I looked inside and saw that my memory stick had fallen in, so I removed this but its still happening!!

I have turned it off and shaken it up side down, but it is still pulling the paper through wonky! And I have a deadline at 3 =[

Try inserting a piece of cardboard, 9x11, into the tray to push out any small piece of paper that may be caught there.

Hello, I got an error message 5C10. What does that

I just had this error message appear on my computer screen and the 6A00 on my MP830 printer at the same time. I heard this error mean a few things (paper jam, ink carriage stuck), though not sure what it does actually mean. I moved the carriage back-and-forth, blasted compressed air and checked for paper jams. When nothing worked, I looked inside and saw a lot of spilled ink, I'm guessing from not using genuine Canon ink. I blotted the inside with paper towels (use gloves!!),especially the far right, and took out the ink cartridges and blotted the carriage. I replaced everything, powered the printer off and on, and it worked fine. I would suggest first to slide the carriage back-and-forth and look for paper jams before cleaning the ink. Hope this works for you.

Printer keeps telling me I have a paper jam but theres nothing inside

Hello there
You may not see a paper jam.

This may work for you, it has worked for many here I given this advice so gave it a try it could work for you. Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.

First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.

If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.

And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.

Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

Printer has been working fine. all of a sudden the paper started to load crooked and jammed. now it continues to do this...why?

Usually it's because something has fallen down the back where the paper goes. One person on here turned her printer upside down and shook it and a Bic pen fell out. I got one last week with a wood screw inside. sometimes I find push pins, candy or jewelry. If nothing comes out try looking inside with a light and small mirror.

Keeps saying paper jam - but cannot see any paper. I have pressed OK but still come up as having a paper jam.

if your absolutely sure that there is no jam then it sounds to me that there might be a problem with an internal sensor or something maybe broken inside if your good with electronics then maybe you can disassemble it and investigate further or maybe take it to a local repair shop good luck!

Paper light will not go off

You may have a small jam or a piece of paper that is still inside the printer.  You may have to look for a smaller piece of paper.  I have had this happen to my laser printers before and it was because there was a plastic arm that is inside the printer that came loose during a paper jam and it wouldn't accept paper until I reattached the arm and then the printer would accept the paper.

Canon MX300 Paper Jam

I have the same problem - every time I turn on my printer now, the alarm signal shows up with "Paper jam" but when I check for jammed paper, there is none. So I think there's something faulty with the printer. Is there any way to reset it? I've looked everywhere but can't find it.
