Cannot operate SA-HT520 by remote control

The DVD player is not receiving the signal from the remote - I have tried the remote on another player and it works so I have ascertained that the player is the problem (not the remote). There are only limited buttoms on the player itself for operation.

-   same issue. remote does nothing to the main box. yet when tried on my other panny system all ok. is there like a hard reset or something maybe

PRESS DVD/CD BUTTON IN THE REMOTE AND EVERYTHING WILL BE FINE
