Question about Garmin GPSMAP 178C GPS Receiver
My Garmin 178C is about 3 years old. Recently, I get no sonar reading with it. Still have water temp but the sonar screen is only a blank background and I get no digital depth reading. GPS mapping and all other functions continue to work fine. Transducer troubles? Thanks in advance for any help.

No.......the C340 STREET PILOT has a hidden reset button. Put your fingernail in the slot just under the GARMIN name on the front face plate. Gently pull the face plate outward. Don't take it all the way off. The reset button is on the right side of the front screen just under this plate. Use a pointed object and hold the button IN for 3 seconds and unit will turn off. When you power it back up it will REBOOT.

Asmany as there are FREE dinners Updates are not free, unless you paid full price for it when you bought it. Free upgrades are a deceptive myth. If you get a free uograde its usually minor and was included in the price of the pack.
