Are you trying to run the CD that comes with the router?
I think you can try to setup your router manually instead of running CD. WRT160N router has issues with the firmware so I will suggest you to upgrade the firmware of WRT160n router first.

When im trying to install my router, an error message pops up that says It requires the new router to be configured with the default username and password So what how do i restore the factory defaults for...

On the bottom or the rear panel of the router you will find a small hole that is labeled as "reset."

You will need something small like a bobby pin to insert into the hole, and push the button concealed inside, hold it down until the router powers off and turns back on.

Are you trying to set up the router using CD ?
Sometimes the CD does not work.
You can set up the router manually without CD.
Now! the first thing is that you have WRT160N router. This router has issues with the firmware. I will advise you to upgrade the firmware of the router. Download the new firmware of the router from the web site and upgrade the firmware. REset the router and reconfigure the router.
You will need to open the set up page of the router to upgrade the firmware.

I receive the 322 error when I´m trying to install my new WRT160N v3 Router, by Cisco.

I think you are trying to install the router using the CD. This CD has a bug. Even if your computer is connected to the router , it will say the computer is not connected to the router and it will give you error 322 or 321.
You can install the router without CD also.
Make sure that your computer is able to go online through the modem only.
connect the computer and the modem to the router and open the set up page of the router.
On the set up page you can change the settings of the router according to ISP.

Problem connecting my linksys WRT160N to pc.

Reset the router to factory defaults and reconfigure it. In case it doesn't work then try upgrading the firmware on the router. This should fix it.

I have a WRT54 G I have two computers hooked to it .. it must have got shut off or something because the only way i can get online is hooking directly to modem i have tried to reset the router by unhooking...

First do a full reset by holding the reset button while power is applied. Wait until all the lights on the front panel go out and come back on.

If you can login to the webpage, download the latest firmware from the linksys website (or install a "hacked" FW like WWDRT or Tomato).

This should solve the issue, as long as the hardware has not failed. Over the last 7 years I have gone through 3 WRT54G's due to hardware failure; most of these were likely due to overheating issues on the wireless transceiver IC.

Router not hooked up properly

Router setup
If you are using the cd that comes with the router, that is the problem. You do not have to use the cd. Go to the control panel and un-install the program that the cd installed.
then:
Shutdown your PC. Unplug the power from the router and the cable modem.
Wait 30 sec. then plug in the power to the cable modem, wait 30 sec. then plug the power to the router. Wait till you have "Internet" light then restart your PC. The PC should pick up an IP address and you should be able to get on-line.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe
