Anytime my Sansa 2 GB MP3 has ANYTHING to do with the USB cable, the creed reads "DISCONNECT" and the battery icon is empty, no matter how full it may or may not be... any thoughts?

What i would recommend you to do is to uninstall the device andreinstall it back...to uninstall it...assuming that you are running windows xp...click on start, right click on my computer and go to properties..you should have your system properties open then click under hardwarethen device manager...look for the sansa device..it usually locatedunder portable device..if its not showing there i would recommend youto look for under disk drives and see if its there..right click on the device and click on uninstall...after you unintall it unplug your device from the computer....Then follow this link below to downloadthe portingkit...http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=A2E73160-E862-4F19-BB26-C0CAFE798955&displaylang=en.Then check the mode of yuor device to make sure it sunder MTP notmsc...To check the mode go under menu, settings and choose usb mode...After you check the mode open up your windows mediaplayer click on tools, options and click under privacy...clear thehistory and caches...after you finish you can plug the device on theback of the computer not the front then windows should recongnize it and it should work properly..if that doesnt solve the problems upgrade your windows media player to 11 even though you have done that already..and try to reconnect your device..make sure you have it connected on the back USB>>>

And if that doesnt work try to obtain the driver for your sandisk device go to http://www.sandisk.com/DriverDownload/index.asp and find the driver for your device..and then connecct the device on the back of your computer...it should work properly..if you are still having any problems..let me know..i would be more than happy to assist you..
Please rate accordingly
Thank you

Becomes frozen on 'Refresh Database' screen- help?

The only solution I found to work with the SAME problem was to 1. turn the player off (if you can't press the power button, then hold the power and menu button at the same time and it will turn off) 2. turn the hold switch to the right. 3. press the on and rec buttons simultaneously 4. connect to the computer 5. when the 16 MB folder comes up, create a folder called 'sansa.fmt' and disconnect the usb cable. *warning! this will erase everything, but it's seriously the only solution i've found that works!

My sansa clip mp3 2gb cannot be seen by windows and sus I cannot

I heard if you just disconnect the usb cable from the device, lock the device, press and hold the round middle button while you connect it back to the usb cable, it should appear.

Disconnect the player, press and hold the power button till the player resets. Change the USB mode to MTP, then turn the player off and reconnect to computer. The computer should now recognize the player.

Just says connected until the battery dies.

first off if you can turn the player off
try this...

1 put on hold and hold record button while u turn on (your sansa is now in recovery mode)
2 connect your sansa to your comp via usb cable a box should show up saying the firmware version
3 close the window and disconnect your sansa (it will restart)

if that doesnt fix your problem try this...

if you can actually connect your sansa to the comp. and see it in explorer try this....

1 connect your sansa to comp via usb cable
2 right click start on windows desktop go to explore
3 scroll down to your sansa's drive rifght click it go to properties
4 go to tools tab and click "check now" under error checking will take awhile and will erase your memory on the sansa but it will probably work again

I hope my post was helpful let me know!!!!

Music not synchronized

Try going to the actual file the music is in on your computer, then right click Send To sansa 250. If that doesn't work look on the options menu for USB mode and change it, that works on my 280.
