SOURCE: My xbox 360 controller will turn on my xbox but

Try getting a new controller, the problem is probably a hardware failure. make sure to get a wired one if possible, they are way more reliable

SOURCE: My xbox 360 controller turns on my xbox then it

same problem, i've been using rechargeable batteries for over a year with this controller and i've never had a problem with them, i have 8 fully charged ones sitting on my desk right now and every one of them is giving me the same double flash problem, my pc is telling me its "lost connection with the controller" but gives no information as to why this may be. this has only been a problem since i've gotten back from uni, before it would occasional not turn on (probably due to the tray being abit loose) but i fixed that with the rebending of the retentsion spring in the middle of the battery tray, but its still giving me the same problem. it seems to me as if the batteries have nothing to do with the problem, if they were, it wouldn't be turning on at all.

SOURCE: xbox 360 power supply light turns yellow when xbox

make sure your xbox is in an open area where it can breathe, otherwise the one red ring means there is a hardware failure, if it is under warrenty send it back into xbox, otherwise there are some diy fixes on youtube

Try this! Press and hold the button below the disc changer, also press the sync button near the charger port on the controller. Light should rotate clockwise and then blink twice. This will tell you which player you are.

There is a connect button on the controller as well. See this site or follow the instructions below. http://support.xbox.com/en-us/pages/xbox-360/get-started/console/connecting-game-controllers.aspx

  1. Turn on your console.
  2. Press and hold the Guide button on the controller until the controller turns on.
  3. Press and release the connect button on the console.
  4. Within 20 seconds, press and release the connect button on the controller.
  5. When the lights surrounding the power button on the console stop flashing, the controller is connected.

The lights keep blinking but nothing is happening. It wont connect to the console. What should I do?

It's possible the xbox 360 controller isn't connected to the xbox 360. Turn the xbox 360 on by pressing the power button, and wait until it reaches the dash board. Then press the controller syncing button on the xbox 360 itself and wait until the xbox 360's ring lights start to spin around. Then press and hold the synch button on the controller (located near the charge port) and the controller should synch up with the xbox 360.

Xbox wireless controller lights keeps blinking but

If the ring of light keeps blinking, it means that the remote controller was not connected to a receiver which is the XBox 360 console. Try to press the connect button on the console and the wireless controller to sync them together.

I had a similar issue with the XBOX 360 Wireless controller. It blinked slow when it was turned on and when synced, the XBOX got the signal, the controller got the signal, but after the full flashes of both, the console ring stayed dark and the controller kept on blinking.

I managed to get it connected by powering the console on using the "XBOX" button on the controller and then pressed the connect button just as the console was opening up the user interface, apparently the console is looking for controllers when it's just getting up and running and syncs better at that point.

Hope this helped!
