There is some loose or bad solderings on the CRT base board of your TV. CRT base board can be located at the back of the Picture Tube, just pluged onto it. Open the TV, and just resolder all the suspected point by applying a liitle more solder. Loose soderings are very difficult ot detect, and so I advice you to do the solderings to all suspected points. Also check the plug in strip solderings that comes from the main board to CRT base board also. Resolder all the CRT socket soderings also. Ok
If any more problems, contact me through Fixya.
This is not a problem that a reset will fix. THe 5 blinks is a code that indicates a problem with the AKB circuit. There is a possibility that the picture tube is starting to fail, but that is rare. If you are comfortable working inside the set where there are potentially dangerous high voltages even when unplugged, let me know and I will provide additional details and instructions for a couple of repair options.
I believe there may have been some parts that were burned out due to high voltage. There are cases where insects such as lizards penetrated and got stuck then got stuck then got electrecuted inside. You can open the back cover of your unit or better, refer to the repairman.
Hi, IK circuit is engaging which basically means the picture tube is getting tired, the only "fix" is temporary (may get another year out of it). You have to increase the "screen control clockwise".
Remove back of set, follow large black or red wire attatched to picture tube down to the flyback transformer, mounted on flyback are two black controls, one is focus (leave it alone) the other is "screen", adjust it clockwise approx. 1/4 inch, remember that this is a high voltage circuit so use one hand in the set the other hand out of the set at all times, any questions ? e-mail me back, good luck, BMW Rider
Hii.... first I like to know the chassis of yor KV27FS100..
sound like problem with regulated parts block.....and can more helpfull if you count the blinking of the LED....sony have selft diagnostic at the LED Blinking.....
Jar-Head, bad news, the picture tube has a mild short in the green cathode, tech can come out and try to restore it but it`s usually a futile attempt on sony tubes, sorry to be the bearer of bad news, BMW Rider
Takes about 5 minutes for picture to appear... Then every one to two minutes the picture disappears. It comes back on for 1 - 2 minutes then repeats. When set if first turned on, the stereo/stand-by light (red) flashes on/off until just before picture first appears
.if your tv is very old than it might be due to crt getting weak
crt base loose
loose contact in power supply
