Question about BellSouth Lands Phones
I have a BellSouth Answering Machine Model 1188 I lost power for about 10 minutes and when the machine came back on I can not able to record a outgoing message. I have tried but it will not keep a message that I recorded.

Hi Diana - To record your outgoing message, hold down your ogm button ( outgoing message) for two seconds and it will ask you to record a message. To play back your message, just push the same button and it will play your message. If you don't like it just do it again. If this solves your problem PLEASE rate this as fixed. If you need more help just add a comment and I'll be happy to assist you further. Thanks and have a good day.

SOURCE: 1188 answering machine
I have model no. 1188 bellsouth digital answering machine. If you have to leave a message, the message I recorded is no longer there, there is a generic message saying please record your message. How do I go back and record my voice with my message. I cannot find my original manual.

unplugging the unit from the power source and waiting 30seconds seems to be the answer. the answering machine is working and i can call out again.
