Where can I get the Vista driver required for DHD250 n3

I require the vista driver for my iomega DHD250 n3

Firewire (1394) will not work with Iomega DHD250-C in Vista. USB works fine. Followed Microsoft's "workaround" (editing registry) and all it got me was a change from code 10 to code 43. Firewire worked fine with XP.

Vista tells me my driver is up to date. Any other suggestions?

For those of you who care to try, here is Microsoft's solution:

I did read of one fellow who got his external HD working with a 1394 Firewire cable by following these steps. Didn't work for me.

SOURCE: Unable to install IOMEGA HDD on Vista Home Premium

Vista may require drivers that are not preinstalled. If the drive clearly works on one machine, but not another, its safe to pressume its not the drive. On the VISTA machine, go to the Iomega site and download the driver for vista or usb or whatnot.

SOURCE: My Vista machine can't see the iomega network drive

You need to connect to the IOmega drive using windows xp and add a user.
In the explorer view in Vista at the top click on Map Network Drive.
At the bottom click "Connect using a different username" and enter the credentials that you created earlier.
In the box above for the location type in "\\IOmega's IP Address\Folder that you want to map".
Click on connect at the bottom should be done straight away and then you should be able to see it in "Network Places" as well. Let me know if this fixes the problem or not.

SOURCE: REQUIRE WINDOWS 7 DRIVER FOR

The external hard-drive is "plug-and-play", and Windows XP/Vista/7 all support "plug-and-play".
Thus, it should automatically be detected by Windows.

So, what's your "real" problem? Symptoms? Error-messages? What happens? What does not happen?

How can I stop the iomega 1TB HDD crashing my laptop I run it with vista

this does sounds like corrupt driver or software for ur HD. also if this is vista 64 bit that might be too. vista 64 is pain and most times after windows updates whole hell breaks loose. try removing drivers and software for ur HD and reinstall without plugging it in until it asks u. Let me know

Yes. The MiniMax is designed to match the MacMini from Apple and comes formatted out of the box to work with a Mac. (One of the few drives that is!)
I think Iomega supply various Windows drivers on the CD

Hard drive not recognized by vista or xp

Did you go to microsoft and try to see if you could update any drivers or software that might help you? it's free (microsoft.com) It couldn't hurt to try, have microsoft scan for updates, and it will come up with a list of what's needed or required. Also on your computer, under control panel, updates, make sure you turn off automatic install and allow you to pick what you would like to install. hope it helps, e-mail at tallcoolone100@yahoo.com

No Power to External Hard Drive

Do you have access to a multimeter or voltmeter? If you do you can check the voltage coming out of the adapter and make sure it matches what the power adapter says it is. If it doesn't, then it is the power adapter. If it does, then it is the drive or enclosure.
