My Toshiba Model 46G300U1 will not turn on. No light are anything. I've check power and it is there.

I was thinking there may be cold solder joints in the power board.

SOURCE: Which Replacement Power Board for LNT4665F Samsung LCD TV?

It would be a lot cheaper if you just replace the two caps that have gone bad. Just get a cheap solder pencil from the store and about an inch of solder and you are in business.
The Power Supply Board is the center Board (towards left) after you remove the back off the TV. Remove Board from TV with the 6-7 screws. Replace capacitors CM852 & CM853; 2200ufd 25volts.

Thaks for using FIXYA, BIG IRISH.

Your power supply board is not yet dead, u know basic electronics' and soldering? You have to open the back cover of the television check for dry soldering on the printed circuit board , if found resolder but if not Most of the times, the power supply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors. These capacitors always bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get your TV power stable, and work again.Or tries websites like, to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

I hope this will help in solving the problem...

I have a Toshiba Satellite model: PSAG8U-04001W, I have no power. I have checked the voltage on the dc side of the ac charger and its fine. there are no status lights and the computer won't turn

This is an obvious board issue if your not getting any lights at all battery blink or HD lights no screen BIOS board is dead, you may want to check to see if power is going from the plug in plastic pin on the board as well the plastic input pin may be solder split or cracked and not connecting.
So the obviously fix for this is take it in to a tech and have them test the board out to see if your getting power to the power button. If your not getting anything showing with even the battery charge indicator and all black out. Board replacement is inevitable, I dislike being the delivery person for the bad news. This does happen...............John

I have a 32" toshiba Mod# 32av502r that will come

Hi patmac2,

First of all, thank you for posting your question here at Fixya.
Random subsequent turned off and on like what you've described is mostly caused by the following.
1. Excessive heat - if the unit turned off and on randomly after a few hours of being power on, then high chance that the parts gone to heat build up that trigger the thermal protection circuitry to kick on. If this is the case, I would advice you to give the unit's vent a proper ventilation, keep away all the obstruction to have a sufficient air flow.
2. Bad solder joints - cracked, dried, cold solder is one of the common caused of the symptoms you've mentioned. I would advice you to check the power supply board for bad solder joints, it is hard to spot, I would advice you to work on the brightest area or used portable lamp and magnifying glass, re-solder all suspected joints.
3. Power supply malfunction - Once the power supply board gone to overload, out-of-regulation condition, the feedback circuitry will sensed it and will caused for randomly shuts down. I would advice you to check the power supply board's electrolytic filter capacitor. Partially faulty (leaky, dried) electrolytic capacitor can produce out-of-regulation condition on the power supply. Most of the faulty electrolytic capacitor has a physical indication of fault like bulged/dome at the top and can be easily identify through visual inspection. If your unit is not under warranty period, inspect it from the power supply board. See sample picture of bad capacitor with dome at the top.

Electrolytic capacitor info.

If you've confirmed that excessive heat, bad solder joints, electrolytic capacitor are isolated and not the issue, I would advice you to replaced the entire power supply board (part number : 75014421). I saw it in stock at this link : .

Hope I helped you.
Have a great day!
Rating and feedback are highly appreciated!

Hi there, do you have the schematics for the Panasonic CT-27sf37b. This TV won't power up but making a high pitch sound near the thermistor area. Thanks.

Hi Richard,

First of all thank you for contacting regarding your TV problem.

You have mentioned that you can hear a high pitch near the thermistor area and the TV won't power up. I've saw also in another link that you already replaced the thermistor but the symptoms still persist. You stated that the thermister heats up, that is normal and not an issue in this kind of symptoms. You can power up the unit even without the thermistor in the board and check if the high pitch will gone or not. But I've suspected that the symptoms will remain the same because the pitch came from the chopper transformer.

I've encountered this kind of symptoms not only on panasonic CRT TV's but almost in all brands. And the major caused of fault is the faulty electrolytic capacitor in the Voltage regulator IC. Your unit used STRF6524 (mounted on the aluminum heat sink) as voltage regulator IC and it has an electrolytic capacitor on its circuitry. I would advice you to replaced it to resolve the issue. The largest electrolytic capacitor is not the suspect here (don't replaced it).

Also check for bad solder joints around the regulator IC. Cracked, cold, dried solder can produced that kind of symptoms. It is hard to spot, you must used magnifying glass and work in the brightest area or much better to re-solder the suspected bad solder joints.

I have various of Panasonic schematic diagram but most of them is a LCD and Plasma TV. I don't have this model no. but please check the chassis no. of your unit and I will try again to find it on my supplier to give it to you for free as much as possible because I've saw it HERE but I don't think the price is reasonable.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Again, thank you and have a nice day!

Kind Regards,

Hi William,

If your problem is a continuous green blinking led light and will not turn on, this is an indication that the DM of your unit try but hasn't booted up and stuck to this fault.
If you have checked fine the fuses on the DM power supply board, you have to check/replaced also the electrolytic capacitors on that board.

11_1_2011_12_36_04_am.jpg has a repair kit for your unit (DM power supply board) that includes these parts.

If you've already replaced the capacitors on that board but still the symptoms still persist, I would advice you to check/replaced the capacitors on the power supply board feeding the DM power supply board. Check also the pico fuses and bad solder joints (cracked, cold, dried solder). Resolder the joints that look suspicious.
Yes, your model has no complete schematic diagram downloadable online. I have a copy of the repair manual that includes the schematic but not a complete one. The power supply's schematic shows only the major parts and the output voltages of the board. Same as on the DM's power supply.
Email me at, I will send you the copy of the repair manual.

If I plug in my trailer and turn on the ref.model 2652 it works fine. I can convert it over to gas with no problem when it has been running off electric but if I try to light it on gas first it won't...

Your problem seems to be in the control circuitry but I don't think it is a true fault. I would suspect corrosion on the connectors of the upper and lower control boards instead of a faulty control board.

I use a combination of scouring pad and #2 pencil eraser to clean the contacts.

My Toshiba regza 46" doesn't

Here are some basic steps that will help you fixing the problem.
I'm assuming that your unit is dead set without an standby LED light and your outlet is live.1.Power cord -check the cord it might be opened (no continuity). This is due to frequent bending,pulling.2. Power switch- check for dry joints, open contact.3.Check the internal fuse- sometimes the fuse fail because of thepower surge, replacing with new one will cure the problem, If this is the case I would advice you to use surge protector/AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulator). However if the fuse blew again this is an indication that you have ashorted partsin the power supply, you may visit the link more info. If no reaction and still the unit didn't power up then you have an open parts on the power supply.
4.If you see that the fuse isintact, don't attempt to touch anything because there somefatalcomponents stored electricity enough to hurt you with a simple mistake only. I would advice you to look fora professionalto troubleshoot the power supply. If you want to repair it yourself make sure that you have necessarytools and test instrument. First checkbadsolder joints(re-solder all cold solder),leaky electrolytic capacitor(sometimes it hasbulgedat the top but not all, you better have a capacitor checker), open/shortedregulatortransistor/IC(mounted in heat sink),open fusible resistor(caused by shorted regulator Transistor/IC), shortedzener diode.
You may also replace the power supply board, try online like and
Also check if your unit is under warranty before opening the back panel, it will void the warranty. Avail it because the manufacturer of your unit will fix it for free or a little charge only.
Hope I helped you.
Have a nice day!
Thanks for using fixya.
