Have the tuner signal board replaced. HDMI does not use the regular tuner bands, it is bypassed when using hd inputs.

Does this happen with all the HDMI inputs. If only the one then jack is bad. Replace the main board. If on all HDMI inputs see if replacing the cable helps.

SOURCE: new toshiba tv connect to sky plus box and perfect

Hi,

The first thing to do is check the connections between the Sky box and the TV. If you are using a SCART cable, it's possible that one of the pins in the SCART plugs has bent or become detached from the wire inside. If you have another SCART cable from a VCR or DVD player, try switching them over.

If this doesn't work, or if you are using another connection method between the Sky box and the TV, please post back and I will try to assist you further.

Regards,
BElectric

My Toshiba TVs has no optical connection.trying to connect to my hitachi sound bar

Most Toshiba TV's use the optical connection. Confirm that yours does not. They sometimes are hidden away. With the TV on they sometimes will glow red around the connector!

If you have no optical on the TV check if you are using a cable service or cable box for the audio out from the cable service. The best connection is via optical. Better yet is the HDMI. The problem is for over the air no HDMI out from the TV is available.

Am audio extractor adapter are available and not very expensive. It makes for a awkward system if you use a DVD and Cable box with HDMI connections.

Hope this has Helped?

I have a Toshiba Regza LCD TV that is not working properly.

Hello Darren,
It does sound to me that either the T-Con board is becoming bad or the connections going to the LCD panel itself are losing connectivity.
I would try to purchase a new t-Con board from ebay and replace that first!
Good Luck!

I don't think you can run AV6 and external sound could come from the TV as Audio Out through Cinch/Phono connectors. As you rightly say, the HDMI signal has audio on it, so the logical way should be to come from the TV through Audio Output connectors and to the Bose system as you cannot come from the Bose system to an already used AV6.
Hope that helps.

HDMI connection

It is possible that the DVD player is not outputing through the HDMI connector, or the TV has a problem with the HDMI input on the input board. This would have to be properly checked.

Start by calling the tech support for the DVD player to know if there is a setting for this, or if the player is defective.

Then check to make sure that there are no settings in the menu for the TV and player that are keeping the HDMI turned off.

If all else fails, call the tech support for your TV set. The next step will be that you must get the set serviced.
