Question about Belkin 802.11g Wireless Desktop Network Card [ F5D7000 Wireless ] (109061)
Have installed a Belkin Wireless G desktop card in my Dell PC running Microsoft Vista but cannot make secure wireless connection to my BT Home Hub.
The PC recognises the wireless card and if I take the WEP security off it connects to the Internet.
Yes, I'm using the correct Wireless key.
The Vista networking centre recognises the wireless network but the Belkin wireless utility doesn't.
Any suggestions? Not too technical.
it has been seen that due to some reason the wep key doesnot work...
u can try changing the key type to WPA instead of WEP...
go to the router page and change the security type to WPA instead of WEP..
1 more thing in vista you can use the windows utility only...how come is it possible that you are using the card utility as well..i suggest you to disable the card utility and just use the windows default utility..
vedhick.....let me know if u need steps to change the security type to WPA..

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
