Insert a few cd and DVD but after a lot of whirring code "no cd found" keeps coming up.

Nilofar,it sounds like your tray limit switches arent working properly/sticking.Do you get this message before you open the tray?Give me the make and model number.

Hi Joey - I had exactly the same problem.
In my case, I followed the advice of others and took the thing apart. On the main amp board there is a large brown capacitor. Mine had come completely loose, so I soldered it back in place with a good amount of solder to make sure the contacts were ok. I also dabbed some solder on the headphone connectors on the same board (just follow the wire from the headphone socket to the board). Well, when I put it back together and tried it again everything worked perfectly, and it has so far remained free from the error. Hope that helps !

I have the same system and one of my dogs got to the remote. I have a philips PMDVR8/PDVR8 universal remote. I was able to get the dav-hdx265 to turn on/off and do volume up and down by using code 0200. I have not been able to get the DVD functionality to work yet, but I will post if I do.
Click on Start, Run, and type regedit and press Enter
Click on the plus signs (+) next to the following folders
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
SYSTEM
CurrentControlSet
Control
Class
{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
This folder is the DVD/CD-ROM Drive Class Description in the registry. Look for any of the following names in the right hand column.
Upper Filters
Lower Filters
Upper Filters.bak
Lower Filters.bak
If any of the above keys shown in step 4 are listed, right-click on them and choose Delete
After deleting the keys, close the registry editor
Reboot your computer
Open My Computer and check to see if your CD or DVD drives have returned. You may also want to open Device Manager and verify that the yellow exclamation and error code on the CD or DVD drive is gone.
