the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)

SOURCE: jvc thc 30 wont power on

http://www.retrevo.com/support/JVC-TH-C30J-Home-Theater-Systems-manual/id/318ci572/t/2/

Generally speaking, an amp protects itself from heat, shorts and overloads.

Overloads can be from excessive periods of high output and shorts would be wiring issues or a speaker blowing up.

You should be able to feel if it's hot. WHY is it overheating? Make sure it has sufficient ventilation on all sides and that vent holes are not blocked by dust balls. Ensure the fan (if equipped) is running as designed (some only operate on demand). Clean dust and debris from it.

If the amp comes back on after cooling, you're lucky. They only have so many self-protection cycles in their lives so continuously resetting or cycling their power without addressing the cause can do more harm than good.

If it protects immediately on a cool power up you should disconnect the speaker connections and try it 'naked'. If it comes up then diagnose which lead(s) are shorted. If it does not come up the problem is internal and should be left to an experienced hands-on tech.

I have the THC C-40 I am interested in purchasing another receiver from this line? Because my DVD tray isn't working on the current system so what other unit might I be able to connect the current...

The chances of another unit hooking to the current speakers is slim to none. While "home-theater-in-a-box" systems like that tend to be inexpensive, the drawback is that they are not compatible with other equipment. According to the Owners Manual, the ONLY unit they are compatible with is the JVC XV-THC50 or XV-THC60. Your best bet is to look for a new system that uses more standardized speakers (five 8 ohm speakers and a subwoofer that has an RCA style input and is powered by its own amp).

How do I enable this player to become multi-region? I believe it's based on a Pioneer rather than one of Teac's own designs.

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. To make it multiregional please follow these step by step instructions using your remote control:

1. Switch power on

2. Open the DVD tray (leave it open with no DVD in it)
3. Press "stop"
4. Press "734466"
5. Use cursor to scroll up or down until it says "Region 0"
6. Press "OK/Enter"
7. Switch power off
8. Switch power on

It show now play all region DVD’s. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

My jvc hx-d7 radio is turned on in 2 seconds it shuts down to protect mode how do i take protect off ?

You can't. The main amplifier module will probably have a channel blown. The unit is detecting this and tripping into protect mode to stop further damage occurring. Needs to go to a repair place. sorry. ps If you get sound briefly before it trips off then it may just be a speaker wire shorting out! worth checking

Unlocking zone for samsung dvd-p181

One of these 2 should work.

1. Make sure that there is no disc in the tray and switch on the player.
2. Cold start the player, by holding down the PLAY and STOP buttons on the player.
3. You should see a set of language options. Release the PLAY and STOP buttons.
4. Select your language.
5. Press REPEAT (do not confuse this with the A-B button) then the following codes for the required region the player is already set to (region you bought the player in) :

Region 1 - 2, 9, 3, 3, 4
Region 2 - 3, 8, 7, 6, 7
("E series M105", M205 and M305 users try: 57538)
Region 3 - 5, 6, 7, 3, 2
Region 4 - 7, 6, 8, 8, 4
Region 5 - 5, 3, 8, 1, 4

6. A code will appear, indicating the region setting of your player.
7. Press 0 for region-free, or 1 for region 1, 2 for region 2, etc.
8. Press OPEN/CLOSE on the Player to open the disc tray. You may need to push the tray shut rather than use the player button, in order for the region not to be changed to 4 (M203).
9. Press STANDBY (POWER) on the remote control to close the tray. Next time the player is turned on it will set to the region specified. If the player halts on the FBI Warnings, press Forward Search x2 or faster.
