All u need to claim the gift for ur new acer laptop is that u can contact the shop from where u bought this laptop and alos u can go the acer website and email them for ur issue and they will definately get backk to u with ur free gift.....good luck.

Acer web cam not working last 2 weeks,model of lap top is:aspire 5630


Check your device manager for the imaging device ( webcam )
If not found, try booting into safe mode and give a look again in device manager.
If you have any usb devices connected disconnect them
If all of this do not work, you may have disconnected the webcam or could be bad.

Bought an acer lap top may last year is it still free too fix dvd faulty


The warranty is 1 year. So if you haven't gone pass the date, they will service a faulty DVD-ROM without a problem. Please contact Acer Tech Support.

Have an extended warranty on my acer lap top internet port burned out trying to get it fixed bought on nov.25th 2008 and have and extended warranty until 11/25 2011 how do i file claim


You need to find out who your warranty is covered through. Example if you purchased it at Best Buy, then contact Best Buy and they will give you the warranty group information or help you setup the claim. Or if you have your extended sales information that you should have received at the time of purchase, you can refer to that also.

it needs a new a\c power block inside they are cheap and semi difficult to repair i wouldnt think it would be over 100$ max but it isnt in my lap to inspect so this is my opinion ok

Horizontal and vertical lines on ACER laptop


Hi there some how your laptop screen pressed & the screen is damaged. Just the option is replacing the screen. Another reason is over heating of screen by manufacturing default. Your laptop still under warranty so i suggest you visit the Acer service center & claim the damaged things if your screen does not have any over pressed symptom then. I hope you understand me. Won't connect to my wireless Internet


I will be amazed if this review meets the public eye before it is skimmed out of the pile but know that it is the honest truth...
I bought an Acer netbook last week, could get wireless connection but was unable to surf the web. I called customer support and they insisted that I would have to purchase technical support which would essentially cost another $200.
I decided to take the computer(my fathers christmas gift) back to try another one because the additional $200 was over my budget. After I exchanged the laptop for another computer to only come to face with the same problem, I was assured that if I purchased the support that a technition would be able to resolve the matter.
After over 3 hours they were unable to resolve the matter and told me that there was nothing further that they could do. I filed a claim for a refund on the technical support and was (VERY RUDELY I MIGHT ADD) denied. I'm really not sure which is worse, the customer support or the product. After my experiences not only would I not recommend purchase, I would strongly advise against it. I hope this review helps someone before they make the same mistakes that I did.
