If you are talking about the crankshaft to camshaft timing there should be a dot or indent on both gears. the correct alignment is the dots together through the centreline of crank and cam

Paper jam after fuser replacement.

Since you reset the counter you reset your paper size .the paper detection flag ,spring that returns it to its h ome position knocked off. Check all your connectors and make sure the drive gears are meeting up. Most fusers have what they call a pivot gear. It has a spring that engages it to the main drive . Make sure there meeting up. Tip ,mark a gear and make sure it rotates. White out works well to mark a gear. You could have a bad part.

When setting the timing on a 1980 chevy 350 are both gear supposed to be TDC at number 1?

Timing mark's on cam and crank should meet, if you did not put distributor out, just set timing gear's as shown, it you did pull it out, stab distributor 180 off, hope this was very helpful.

No timing mark on camshaft gear 1995 2.2 corsica no. 1 cylinder at tdc.

There's a round mark or hole on the outer edge of both the cam and crank gear, align the cam gear mark at 6 o'clock and the crank gear mark at 12 o'clock so that they meet and your done.Good luck

I need a diagram for a 94 oldsmobile cutlass supreme timing chain

There is a dot on each of the gears one on the large cam gear and one on the small crank gear. The crank gear dot on the teeth of the gear should point to the 12oclock postion straight up then the one on the cam gear point sin the 6 O clock position so the dots meet each other then you put the chain on the cam gear then around the crank gear then bolt on the cam gear the dots should still be lined up with each other.this puts the engine in the #4 firing postion

Difficult shifting through gears

I do a lot of mountain bike riding and there have been a few times where the gear changing hardware has definitely become bent rendering it nearly useless when it comes to changing gears.  Inspect the hardware very closely for any signs of damage.  Also be sure to look at where the gear shift cables meet the gear shifters on the bars.  Where it connects in you will typically find an adjustment knob (note that you may have the same type of adjustment knob where the cable meets the gear shift mechanism also) which the cable rides in.  You will make much larger jumps in adjustment when using this method as the screws on the gear changing mechanism, which you mention in your original post, are more for fine tuning.  Best of luck to you on te repair and I hope you don't need any new hardware!
