Machine was doing its normal wash and it stopped with an error code of de. We have taken all washing out and drained the item as per instruction manual but it still will not wash. We have also had it turned off for the past 5 hours and still comes up with the default code de. This machine is only 5 months old.

DE indicates a door lock error. Either the door lock, wiring or main control board can cause this fault. The door lock is relatively inexpensive so it would be worth trying a new door lock first. Check the wiring between the door lock and the control board. If a new door lock doesn't fix it and the wiring is ok you are only left with the control board.
I have a Samsung J845 front loader washing machine, A few weeks ago, no water would go into the machine, so replaced the broken solenoid. Now the water never stops going into the machine ??? The solenoid is working but not getting electrically turned off. When I pull the terminal from the solenoid the water stops. What has gone wrong now???
Hi, I have the same washing machine and it flashes UE on the error code during spin cycle when I have one thing in there, or if the clothes are uneven. I usually have to wait until the lock light goes out, re-arrange the clothes and continue spin cycle. If it is just one item in there, I usually have to manually wring it out as it will keep saying error if I keep trying to spin.
An OE error presents if the washing machine has not successfully drained the water in ten minutes.
there are a few simple steps to take before calling for service.
Step 1: Check the drain pump filter. Items caught in the drain filter will prevent proper drainage. Over time build up can occur from detergents and additives used in the machine. Manually drain unit through the drain hose, then lay a towel down to catch the water, and remove the filter. Clean the filter thoroughly and restart the machine.
Step 2: Check the washers drain hose. If the drain hose is not installed properly, the washer will not drain properly. The drain hose should not be installed more than 1 meter higher than the bottom of the washing machine.
Step 3: Confirm that the washer is leveled properly. If the unit is not leveled properly, it will not drain properly. The front of the unit cannot be higher than the back or vice versa. If not properly leveled, the water can flow back into the machine. If this is the cause of the problem, please level the machine using the supplied leveling wrench. When you place a level on the washing machine, the bubble should be in the center. Confrim that the washer is leveled from side to side and front to back.
you can perform a diagonal test when leveling the washing machine to ensure that the unit does not tilt from corner to corner.
Its on the back of machine and after you remove the back cover plate youll see that its very easy to install the new one.You shouldnt have to use any tools to put on the new belt.Just loop it around the motor pulley and around the large tub pulley that you see right in front of you.It may even appear to be too tight while your winding it on the pulleys but its not .
If you stand in FRONT of the washer, leaning over the top, the drive wheel is underneath the main drive motor, on the RIGHT hand side. Loop the belt over the drive motor wheel, then over the main pully, and it should be good to go!
