Question about NetGear Computers & Internet
Most likley one of these two.
Open a command prompt and type ipconfig /release
Wait about 6 minutes (typical leasing time is 5 minutes)
Type ipconfig /renew
If it still isin't working
Go into Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Network adapter on the left. Right click whichever adapter you are using (wired or wireless) select properties
Look for Internet Protocol v4 and select it and click properties.
IP address and DNS should both be on Obtain Auto.
Comment back if you need further assistance

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: D-Link DI 624 Wireless Router
please call dlink tech support at 877-453-5465. just an advise on how to handle the call when you reach dlink tech support (agent); do not agree to call back after you troubleshoot with them (they'll be giving you a case id reference# and be advising you to check your pc or call "who" and call them back to continue the troubleshooting). insist to the agent that he need to resolve the problem asap (by the way, agents are not allowed to drop the call or they'll be dead-history!). and if the agent still insisted you to call back, ask for a "senior level technician" to finish the job (escalate the problem).
fyi: dlink tech support handling time to resolve a call is 15 to 18 minutes only. if you reach that 15-18 minutes (max) time the agent will think of a way for you to call back (advising you to check with your pc manufacturer, check with your ISP, call microsoft to update your software, etc... non-sense!) they need to do this in order to reach their handling time (agents need to reach 21 to 25 billable calls, and billable calls are "solution provided", "resolved", and "dropped call"). ---- believe me, i was one of them and repented.

Free for an evaluation period, free to download. Read the deal while you are there.
This is an excellent network management tool. If you buy it, it will come with 5 licenses. If you dont buy it, you can use MOST of it for free for as long as you want.
I use the paid pro version and I love it.
I hope this helps you.

1. Login to router first and verify that the router with the rj45 cable.
2. Go to the DOS window and then type "cmd" then type at the prompt "ipconfig /all". this will show the network connections but look at the wireless connect and the ip and MAC address.
3. Disconnect from the RJ45 ( Ethernet cord) then reboot the PC or laptop.
4. check laptop for IP address from router.
5. At the dos prompt do a ping >> www.yahoo.com
example: ping www.yahoo.com

SOURCE: Release ip address. I want
The easiest way to release and renew your IP with a router that doesn't have that feature is to unplug the modem (not the router) for a few minutes - overnight while your sleeping to be sure.
