Question about Casio Exilim EX-S500 Digital Camera
My Casio Exilim worked fine for 2 years. With autofocus, pictures were usually very crisp and beautiful, regardless of whether the setting was indoors or outdoors. 2 days ago, the camera suddently started being out of focus. Pictures indoors were very blurry. Even simple pictures outdoors on a sunny day (situations in which the camera used to work perfectly) were white-washed. In addition, all the pictures now have horizontal lines across them. Why? I tried cleaning the lens, removing the battery and replacing, removing card and replacing, manual focus (adjusting EV shift, white balance, etc.). Also the battery seems to have a shorter lifespan than usual. I don't know if that's the reason. I don't know if I should replace the battery or if something is just wrong with the camera instead. I would appreciate any advice. Thank you!
This is a CCD failure. Go to the Casio Tech support team. There has been an issue with a batch of CCD's and a recall on certain models of all makes This may be one of them

If the photo shoot out show white , the obscure (quality
variation), and even horizontal line ( white lines), and so on over-exposure
cases, even if the use of anti-tremor, set to default values are invalid,
because the camera shutter fault.
It's need repair camera machine shutter.
