Question about ASUS P5S800-VM Motherboard
Since Windows 7 is a beta there are not a whole lot of drivers developed yet. If there is no driver for your sound then you have 2 choices; 1. Roll back to a previous Windows o/s or 2. Wait a little while until the board manufacturer or microsoft has a driver available. Hope this helps.

Update your embedded sound from Realtek to the latest AC'97 codec.
if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it
click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to sound,video and game controllers you might see a yellow question mark? Right click to reinstall drivers or you can download the drivers
