- Thanks for the ideas. The suppressor (or is it a condensor) is burnt out. The plastic coating is bunt through with the electonics visible. I have removed the piece which was connected to both the neutral and live. I have not tried plugging the dis#hwasher in after disconnectiong the item. The item does noit have any reference numbers or any details on it. If it is only a suppressor I guess I could try using he dishwasher without it. I would rather not though.

- THE ITEM IS A CYLINDER WITH CONNECTIONS AT ONE END. IT IS ABOUT 3 CMS LONG, 1 CM IN DIAMETER, . IT IS GREY PLASTIC COATED. IT WAS CONNECTED AT THE POINT THE POWER ENTERD THE DISHWASHER.
Do you hear a humming noise? Do you mean your motor? Have your tried rotating the motor fan blades to unjam the motor?

- What is happening with your dishwasher when you start turn it on?

- There is no compressor in a dishwasher (Only refrigerators)
If your dishwasher is tripping your circuit breaker in your home; with the breaker in the off position ensuring you asolutely have no power; I would remove the dishwasher access panel below (4 screws) and check to see for any "shorting" of the power supply-line wiring that connects to the dishwasher.
I would also check and unjam your motor by rotating your dishwashers motor-shaft. Directions: Removing the bottom access panel and insert your hand and grab the motor fan blades (rear of motor - between waterpump and front of motor) and rotate in a circular motion. * Caution: please ensure you are doing this with the power off and no rings or jewelry on your hands.
Also, do you see any cuts or shorting of your heating element located on the inside; bottom of the dishwasher? (Metal tubing at inside bottom of the dishwasher)

- Their is no such things as a compressor or condensor on a dish-washer. The main components of a dishwasher is a Motor, Pump, Inlet Water-Valve, Drain Solenoid, Spindal Tower, Heating Coil/Element, Timer Control, etc.
Do not use your dishwasher without having everything connected. I am not sure what you removed. Can you please describe the part, size, etc. and where you removed it from further.
