Sony handycam DCR-DVD 105 stuck on Night recording

The camera is stuck on recording at night and we want to use it in the day time, When we try to use it the screen is white how do we get it off this mode?

    We tried that didn't work was told to remove the memory stick and reset up the camcorder, but there is not a memory stick in the camcorder. We have tried all the normal thing but still not workn???

If it is a white screen and you have been recording in bright daylight you may have the Night Plus slider on.

DCR-DVD 105 door will not latch therefore it will not record


remove battery close door put battery back on. if not its the door sensor thats bad. flat rate to sony around 290.

Sony handy cam stuck on night mode


I don't have this camera, so I can't tell you how to change the setting, but on most electronics, if you take out the battery, and leave it out for an hour (with no power cable attached), they go back to their original settings, so this would likely get you out of the night mode.

You can also see if there is any info on the Sony site .
You could also ask on one of the may forums on the net...

DVD-105 HAS NO VIDEO WHEN RECORDING


Hate to say this but Sony consumer products are junk. I have a box full of Sony camcorders that have stopped working. Yuk. Canon, whose pro-sumer products are closer to the professional end.

Can not set the camcorder to Super Nightshot Plus mode

To enable " Super Night Shot " option, find slide switch at top of camera as shown in picture...Regards,

Memory Stick for the Sony Handycam DCR-DVD 105


This camera uses memory stick duo memory. If you refer to p. 31 of the user manual found here:

It is right beneath the strap.

I have a firewire from sony 105 to macbook pro--DOES NOT WORK--adapter i used from Sony mini 7" dvd player -- thought I had it fixed :( old camera out of time....
