SOURCE: Hotpoint DY46X: When turning on the main oven it

If it is a fan assisted oven, then I would suspect that the oven element is faulty, disconnect the element, and try again, if it does not trip, then element is faulty, if it still trips, then you are goimg to have to look elsewhere for prob.
Please rate my solution.
Thanks.

SOURCE: main fan oven not heating

If the light and the fan are working then it is the heating element that has failed. You need to replace it.

Its not a difficult job but you have to take the back off the oven. The heating element is usually in a circular shape around the fan housing.

You have to disconnect the wires to the heater and remove the retaining screws, fit the new heater and reconnect. Remember to switch off the power before starting work

HOw do I refit the handle on a hotpoint SY36w oven door please?

Most oven doors handles are held in by screws from the inside of the door. Inside the front side of the door, so you need to remove the inside of the door to get at them. You should be able to remove the door from the oven or at least lock it in the down position. Carefully remove the screws and pay attention to which screws goes where. Then remove the back, tighten the screws holding the handle in and replace the back Document or take pictures/video of what you do to make sure everything goes back where it should. Ba careful with the glass.

Reinstalling oven door which was removed by overseas movers

Have a look on You Tube, there are a number of videos that demonstrate how oven doors can be removed, it normally revolves around latching the hinge. Refitting is a reversal of the process.

The following video shows a number of different methods to remove and refit the oven door

Hopefully, one of the methods shown in the video will help you.

We have a Hotpoint double oven spec# BD52K and after having the element refitted have notice that the bottom oven door no longer fits flush causing the oven not to seal correctly. is there any way that...

Assuming that the door was not removed for the new element to be fitted, then it sounds to ne as thiugh the oven door hinges are weak.
The only solution is to replace both door hinges,
If the door was removed, then it could possibly be not fitted back correctly.
