The black stuff doesn't get on our glass dishes only the plastic plates my kids use. I use regular dish detergent, it's called seventh generation. I heard that it could be coming from the sink so I am going to try drain cleaner so hopefully it will go away.

Ours does the same thing. I have been suspicious that it is the melting plastic stuff used in the dishwasher tabs that the wife uses.

Let me know if you use that same tab to wash you dishes.

We dont have any problem with the stuff getting on dishes (and we use all white diner type dishes.).

Dishwasher has become very noisy and does not clean the dishes like before it is about 4 years old

More than likely, your impeller has something lodged into it. Check the strainer (back wall, on floor) for utensils and such that may have worked their way there.

Plug your model number in @ and you will be presented with a variety of diagrams. You want the diagram that shows how the pump is attached. You will have to remove the dishwasher from the cabinet (unless its portable) to access the pump assembly. Then check the pump. You may have also bent / broke an impeller blade. Given the age of your dishwasher, there may also be a service manual available for it as well.

it is possible that your dishwasher have built a rust that caused holes in its bottom.

many times the cause of the rust is due too not using the required dishwasher salt.

The clean light is flashing seven times on our kitchenaid dishwasher model KUDS01DL and it wont wash the dishes

The blinking clean light is an interruption in the dishwasher program that either indicates a component malfunction, or it can be a simple glitch. The following link explains how you may be able to clear the blinking clean light problem:

Now, keep in mind all dishwashers are not alike and have different panel options. If you do not have the same set up that I have mentioned, the tech sheet for your dishwasher will explain the touch pad functions. The tech sheet is located behind the lower toe panel under the door and lists the proper sequence of buttons to push for diagnostics and troubleshooting. Just remove the screws that hold the panel in place and remove.

NOTE: Sometimes the tech sheet is located behind the inner door panel. You will need to remove the screws securing the inner panel to access it if this is the case. Make sure you turn off the main power breaker before doing so.

Blinking 7 times is usually a thermister related problem. However, I have often found this to be a momentary glitch in operation. If the problem keeps reoccuring the number of flashes is an indication of WHICH circuit is causing your problem. As all dishwashers differ in operation and features, refer to your tech sheet for the recommended troubleshooting steps.

If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you solve your problem.

NOTE: Some dishwashers use the Sani-Rinse/Air Dry combination, some use the Sani-Rinse/Heated Dry combination. Some use a sequence of three, others use a sequence of 5 pushes of the buttons. If the tech sheet is not located behind the lower toe panel, or affixed somewhere under the dishwasher, I have also found them located inside the inner door panel. Let me know if you still need assistance.

My lg front load washer will not turn on when i press the start button, i used it several times already today?

Had the same problem today. On the front bottom left hand side there is a small door. Open the door and unplug the black rubber hose, this will allow the water to drain (make sure you have a small bucket to drain the water into.) After the water has drained, unscrew the black filter. Wash the filter and insert it back into the washer. Turn the filter until it will not turn any further. Plug the black water hose and close the door. If you had the same problem I did then it should work.

LG recommends that the filter be cleaned twice a month.

Bosch dishwasher timer freezing

There is a recall on the control board of many of these models, butyour problem is likely not related. It sounds like a plugged drain system or a possible bad drain pump. That's why you are hearing the pump running constantly. I have written a guide to help. It is here. Thanks!

Mold? behind seal on whrilpool duet front load.

Run it a couple times on hot water with bleach in it. Should help. Also run through with dishwasher detergent in it. This helps clean too. I leave door ajar to allow air in washer. You can also purchase cleaner just for this at parts place.
