I need to reprogramme our system but my main issue is recording the group voice message and also call forwarding to my mobile

that depends on your celphone options, you have to correctly configure the voicemail option before any caller can leave a voicemail.

seting up the voicemail aint that hard. By pressing the number 1 then talk or holding down the 1 this will prompt you to set up your voicemail. An automated system should walk you through the setup of the voicemail. Listen careful and you'll be set up in no time.

the voice mail key is the #1 key on the keypad as well it should have an envelope icon on the keypad as well, just press and hold the #1 key and follow the step by step instructions to setup you voice mail.

access your voice mail from your phone and go through the option.....all service providers have different menu options so i cant walk you through the steps exactly, but the answer should be in personal settings or system settings.....many providers have the option of turning the automated system off....make sure its on and you will be good to go!!!! GOOD LUCK!!!!!

Goes to voice main on first try on second try rings


According to iPhone faq.org: " How can set the number of rings on my iPhone before voicemail picks up?
You can set the iPhone to wait longer or shorter than the default 20 seconds before it goes to voicemail when receiving an incoming call. This will result in a different number of rings before the voice messaging system picks up the line and plays your outgoing message. To change the amount of time the iPhone will ring follow these steps:
1. Open the phone app and dial *#61# on the Keypad. Press the Call button.
2. Locate this text on the screen: "Setting Interrogation Succeeded, Voice Call Forwarding, When Unanswered, Forwards to +" and record the 11-digit number after the + symbol.
3. Touch the Dismiss button. Now enter this code on the Keypad: *61*+ followed by the 11-digit Forwards to number recorded in step 2, followed by *11 and *ringtime#. Ringtime is the number of seconds you want your iPhone to ring before voicemail picks up. Your finished code should look something like this:
*61*+18555513466*11*30#
In the example above the ring time is set to 30 seconds. Press the Call button.
4. You should receive the message: Setting Activation Succeeded. Press Dismiss and next time you receive a call it will ring for the new amount of time before going to voicemail."
According to Apple Tool Box.com: "having this problem, please try the followings:
  • Make sure that iPhone's Ring/Silent switch is OFF meaning ringer is ON. A bell will flash briefly on the screen when you turn on the ringer.
  • Make sure that the Do Not Disturb setting is not silencing calls (Settings > Do Not Disturb).
  • Make sure that Airplane Mode is OFF (Settings > Airplane Mode).
  • Make sure that your carrier software is up to date (Settings > General > About)."

I have been trying to change our company greeting on the Panasonic KX-T7731 and can't figure out how. I have searched all the manuals. I also wasnt sure if I need to be on a certain phone/extension to


It's not part if the phone but deoends upon which switch (exchange) you are using and also if your using an external voicemail system or on the KXTES824 if you're using the built-in AA (Automatic Attendant)

Samsung DS-5014S reset lost voicemail password


Samsung DS-5014S locked msg passcode, although I am able to change the passcode as written in the user guide but when I want to enter it says: invalid entry. How can I reset the whole passcode and set up a new one?

You have unheard messages on the voicemail system provided by your telephone company. This system records messages when someone calls while you're already on the phone. Please contact your telephone company for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.

How do I transfer a voicemail on my phone to someone else's voicemail?


Listen to the complete voice mail, then when it finishes (or you fast forward) choose COPY
You can then record your own voice message intro to the message explaining why you have transferred it.
Once you choose yes or no to recording your own Intro you will get to choose the mailbox you would like to forward the voice mail to.

I set up Hunt Group 1 (290) on a CICS, w/6.1 softewre with A Call Pilot 100 and assigned & initialized mailboxes for each Hunt Group member (222, 223 & 224) to FNA to Voicemail (227) after 4 rings....


Without having the programming manual on hand for this switch I have to generalize from other switches. Double check your auto forward settings within your hunt groups. It sounds like you have auto forward set wrong. If you have the voice mail set to engage on the 4th ring try changing that to engage on the 6th ring with the forward within a hunt group to forward to next available on the 3rd ring, see if that helps.

Voice message, reprogramming extensions


How did you program the voicemail so a caller can not leave a voicemail to a particular extension? Line ownership? SO a call goes directly to a milbox?

How can you reprogram the voice message????? Which one, for a particular user or the main Auto attendant greeting????

You have to know the admin login to change a mailbox password.

For that, you need to know which voicemail system this is.
When you log in to check your mail, the lady says, "welcome to Partner......"

In order to change your voicemail message you need to call into your voicemail system. Voicemail is not actually in the phone but a service where your calls are forwarded to. Most voicemail systems will play the main menu if you press the * key. One of them should be about a greeting. Check with your carrier for specifics.

Going to voicemail


The phone you have can go on several different Norstar phone systems and you can have several different types of voice mail. Your voice mail (and possibly the phone system) needs to have programming changes, not the telephone. Your first step is to determine which Nortel phone system you have and also what model voice mail. You will need manuals for the phone system and voice mail. Hopefully you already have a programming or administration manual for the voice mail. Someone should have gotten this information when the system was first installed but that could have been many years ago.

What happens when you are waiting for that time? Do you hear absolutely nothing? Instead of being sent directly to your voice mail box, it may be sending callers to a voice mail branch where you would normally have a recording "press 1 for this, 2 for that" If there is no recording the system will wait for a response that the caller has no idea of and usually replay the message 3 times before defaulting to your mailbox (in this case a blank message). That is my best guess with the information I have from you so far.
