Question about Kitchen Ranges

Open Question

Electrolux range hood WRF900cs, I am just wondering where exactly the 3 amp fuse is situated for the lights on this unit?? Thanks

I turned on the lights and they blew and tripped the switch outside. I reset the trip board and replaced both light bulbs but the lights no longer work. The extractor fan does still work however.

SOURCE: lights nor fan are working

hello Mary ann wil,
Would need the model number before I can offer any further diagnosis also the make of the unit helps also this way I know what Im looking at I await your reply Thanks Rick
p.s if this is a range and you have no lights working the issue would most likely be found inside the control area I think this is a hood but I dont like to assume so I will await your reply Thanks again Rick

check the fuse. (see post about control board.)
excerpt: ... the control board is in the front of the hood behind the speed & light power buttons. There is a 3/4" Buss fuse onboard that seems to pop on my hood every few months.

No reverse light, all fuse good. reverse Switch?

It's not that simple anymore . The transmission range sensor switch is what they have now . This range sensor informes the PCM - engine computer what gear the vehicle is in. When you put the gear selector into reverse B+ voltage from the range sensor to the PCM tells the PCM reverse has been selected , the PCM then will energize the reverse lamp relay (located in the under hood fuse/relay box) there by turning on the reverse lamps . There are two fuse's in the under hood fuse/relay box . F27 10amp. & F35 10amp.

Westinghouse range hood wrf900cs light blew, light globes replaced but lights still not working

I had the same problem. An audible pop and the lights stopped. Fans still works, light bulb filaments appear intact.
My problem was that a short piece of the copper on the printed circuit board, inside the switch housing, had vaporized as if it were a fuse. I soldered a bridge of copper wire across the small 5mm gap and all was working again.
Access the switch compartment by removing the filters, undo a couple of retaining screws to remove switch unit.
Make sure the electricity to the unit is Off/unplugged before proceeding!!!
Switch unit cover has 4 screws holding it on. Once inside the unit, trace the wire (mine was grey colour) from the light switch to the small printed circuit board. The copper printed circuit link to the connector had gone...no sign of burning, just gooone!
Solder a bridge of copper wire across the gap and reassemble switch unit to test.
....send beer donations to me in qld...cheers!!!

My rangemaster cooker hoos has just stopped working.. no fan working and no light coming on ??

The same happened to me. I found a 3-amp fuse which I changed, and now it's ok.
I removed the chimney casing and located the electrical connection into the wall. You'll find a fuse unit within the switch which swings out.

Hope this helps.

Electrolux EFC 90680x c/hood,bottom lights come on by themselves.

Hello,

It sounds as though the main control board is faulty or condensation has got into the board I would check on the warranty of your appliance.Therevare 3 in this range dating from 2007 to 2009.
Hope this helps.

My eletrolux EFG 535 stopped working; one bulb has blown but now neither the fan or the other bulb are working

Hi

The same thing happened to mine this week. No trip switch was thrown on the fuse box and I can't seem to locate a fuse within the unit itself.

Have you come across a solution?

Thanks
Will.

Changing fuse on Nutone Allure Ws2

Hi Mertl, I sure hope you found the solution since, but I am posting the answer for other people like me (and you) who need to find it !

The service manual says:

To replace the fuse:
1. Disconnect power at service entrance.
2. Remove filters, bottom panel, light wire harness, and air chute.

The fuse is actually right behind the fan controls, so to access it you need to disassemble everything that's in the way.

BTW, for anyone wondering if it's the fuse that's faulty, here's a clue:

If the fuse has opened (blown), the green fan-level indicators
will operate properly when the fan buttons/switches are pressed
- but the fan and lights will not turn on.

The fuse is a 5 x 20 mm, 10 Amp, Fast-Acting, 125V (min.).

Good luck all !

Had same problem & fuse fixed it.
Before buying a new control board (approx $160), check the 3 amp fuse located on the inside of the vent on the control board. You have to take the light/bottom housing & black plastic air chute off to see control board/fuse.
