Replace the inbuilt earpiece. Many Nokia earpieces are identical and readily available.

Remove Battery.

Remove the front cover. Prise out the earpiece from the back of the casing. Replace with new one. clean contacts on motherboard with isopropyl alcohol. Reassemble.

If this does not work the sound IC on the board is most likely damaged and you will need to sent it to a repair shop.

Hope this helps

I am able to call but can't hear the other persons phone ringing, busy, voicemail or if anyone answers, there is no sound. The same if someone calls me, it rings, I try to answer & nothing. I can send...

well the ringing is from another speaker that works as a loudspeaker/ handsfree on your phone

as a preliminary check try connecting a headset and answer the phone if you can hear the other party then the problem is with the earpeice, you might want to get it repaired

My headset is grounded

pushing the jack hard may result in some connections pushed way off, and there is no contact to the speaker. Please see the nearest technician.
