To remove door there are screws at top door hinge, them and door should lift right off. fold back gasket and you will find a lot of screws under gasket remove them and inner door panel should lift off exposing hoses .

it's really not that hard, but i can see your concern. if you are mechanically inclined it is just a matter of repeating the steps in the reverse order. what i do is lay the parts or screws in the order you take them off. if you feel you might screw it up then yes call a reputable repair person

I have a ge gss22kgpacc side by side, the freezer is working, lights, etc. all working, but the refrigeratoe side is not working, any insight? thanks, mike

on most units they have two controls refrigerator control is electric t-stat that runs compressor freezer control think of it as a door colder freezer door is barely open warmer freezer door all the way open all cooling coils are in the freezer and a fan moves the air to refrigerater side possible problem fan not running
door freezer control all the way closed
light switch broken light staying on door gasket not sealing tight find door switch press verify light shuts off and fan starts
look for torn or damaged door gasket can look from outside with light and see if gasket contacts case on all four sides
freezer is cold enough so compressor is ok hope this helps good luck ron

Refrigerater is not cooling

The refrigerator gets air from the freezer. Look in the freezer for frost. If you have frost in the back or bottom the you have a defrost problem. Could be a timer or heater that is bad. If no frost do you hear a fan? You should have a evaporator fan running. Maybe thats out and it not circulating air for the refrigerator. You can check this out.
Hope it helps

Loose freezer door handle on my whirlpool side-by-side refrigerat

you should be able to pull straight up on the handle (with force) and it will come loose from the retaining screw. usually its just the retaining clip that comes loose from the door but sometimes you will have to replace the entire handle to repair the unit. if your not having any luck getting it off message me with a complete model number for your refrigerator and i will see if i can get you a little  more detailed information. thx peyton

Frost buildup in ice-dispenser tube

Open the freezer door and look down the ice chute while you shine a flashlite up the dispenser cute from the outside. If you see light around the chute door, it needs to be replaced. The problem you describe is almost always air laekage around that flap. Post back if you need more help.
