IF THE BOARD HAS POWER BUT WILL NOT BOOT YOU HAVE A REAL PROBLEM. PROSSESSOR COULD BE BAD OR YOU COULD HAVE FRIED THE CHIPSET ON THE BOARD TRY TESTING THE CPU ON A DIFFERENT BOARD IF YOU GET THE SAME RESPONSE THE CPU IS BAD BUT IF THAT BOARD BOOTS WITH THAT CPU YOUR CHIPSET IS BAD

My board is IBM rev. 2.8 pn 19r2563,i just clear the cmos, after that the board didn't boot anymore,no power at all,,please somebody help what exactly the problem is..

Look on the board for bloated or leaking capacitors- these are caps that have an x on the top and a yellow or brown substance out of them. If the are fat they are bloated. Next, I have had this with bad power supplies. Try another power supply or put that one on a power supply tester if you have one. It will tell you if all the voltages are there. It only takes one voltage missing to give you major headaches. If the unit is old try measuring the CMOS battery. A dead one will not let the computer boot but that is after power will come on.
If you have a bad capacitor on the board it will be needing replacement- I fix them but not everybody goes to that trouble.

My sony VGN-CR320E is dead no monitor no key board it is geting power

Computer does not boot upThe problem maybe the RAM, it is faulty or just needsreseating to make proper electrical contact.
Reseat the RAM and then boot up your laptop. If it still does not boot up thenremove the RAM module/s and take them to your friendly computer repair shop andget them to test the RAM for you.Just like you sometimes need a mechanic to repair your car, sometimes you do need a technician to diagnose and identify the fault or faultson your computer. Not only does a good service technican have the experience todeal with this type of problem, they also have the equipment that allows themto look at things the average computer user can't see, and he has a collectionof replacement parts that can be used to quickly test individual components onyour computer.

D600 wont power up

Try removing the battery and boot on the power cord sometimes the battery shorts the system so it will not boot if it does boot then you need to replace the battery it could be the battery is dead and your power cord is bad check and make sure that is not the case if the power cord is good then I would look into replacing the mother board you can find a replacement on Ebay or at dell .if you have to replace it do a google search on hot to replace the mother board on a Dell latitude D600
and you will ba able to get step by step on how to disassemble it

PC with ECS P4VMM2 V5.0A motherboard won't power up after working for years. Power supply fan doesn't come on, case fan doesn't come on, PC dead. Tried replacing power supply, same result. Power supply...

The mother board and the fan also need replacement. If you have recently added any other hard ware to the machine, remove it and try booting again.

Do not turn on I change the power supply and still doing nothing

Assume you have made the connections on the main atx plug to the motherboard AND the smaller 4 pin Black and yellow wired plug (cpu power).

If the PSU you have just installed was sure to be a good one, then the issue lies with the motherboard or the switch to the power supply on the board (2 pin wire connector labelled PW). Try to remove the connector and then bridge the connection manually with an insulated screwdriver by BRIEFLY touching the 2 pins on the board. If the switch was faulty, this will bypass it and the computer will boot.

If it still will not boot, try removing all non -essential components. leave only 1 stick of ram and the video connection. if it boots, replace each in turn and see which one causes the computer not to boot.

If that fails, examine the board carefully, look closely at the capacitors ( small cylinders) on the board if any are bulging or the top is leaking a rusty coloured crust, the board is dead and will need replacing

My hp monitor is totally black it was working last night. i tried to unplug and replug it in and it came on for a few seconds then went black again

A lot of time people have the impression that the monitor is not working when in fact the computer is not booting its lighting up but nothing else so its stays on a black screen.

One way to know is by opening your speakers or plugging head phones, if you hear windows open or any windows sound the problem is the screen.

You can also unplug the screen from the pc and turn the screen on most of the time the screen while show a disconnected warning on the screen if that comes up the computer is defective.

It can be due to:
Dead T-CON board on the LCD panel assembly due to blown fuse or just dead board.
Dead power supply on the logic board that supplys the power to the T-CON board.

Mobo does not power up Dead cpu dead mobo?

A dead CPU will not hinder a board from powering up. The board is unlikely to POST. However, you should heard attempts at powering up and immediate shutdown. Or, you will see the PSU comes on but system not boot.

No mobo, but, CPU.

If no failed attempts at boot, no indicator lights, then you have either a failed power supply or DEAD motherboard.

Good luck
