My lower wash arm is not spinning. I have disassembled everything that I could below the lower wash arm and cleaned the mineral deposits and old detergent residue off of everything. I have re-assembled...

The water flows from the sump and is forced through the sump by the motor that is attached to the sump assembly click on this link to see the schematic for that area of the unit part number 6 which is termed as a wash impell is what pushes the wash water through as well as part number 7 which is the accumulator of the unit if the impell or impellar is spining properly and you have cleaned the lower wash arm of all deposits and when you put the arm back on by screwing down part number 1 and then you spun the arm and it did spin freely the issue would then be within the sump some do choose to replace piece by piece of the sump assembly personally I found it much cheaper to just buy the entire sump and replace it as a kit which comes with a new motor as well then to replace piece by piece of the sump assembly in the unit . Make sure that the motor to the unit is running when the unit goes into the wash cycle if the motor is not running then this would be why the water is not flowing to the wash arm also if the arm does not spin properly then you would also have an issue with the water coming out of the arm as well. If you choose you can try to replace the wash impell which is part number 99002659 and if your looking for the best priceing I would use this company they tend to be alot cheaper then the other appliance companies I find If you have any further questions message me back and please remember when our chat has fully concluded to rank how this opinion has helped in your appliance situation it allows me to continue helping others in similar situations in the future Thanks Rick

Suspect blockage top rotating washer arm does not spin

Both arms (upper and lower) are fed from the back of the machine, when you close the door the arms make a water tight seal with the pumped water in your washer.
Check to see that when the machine is full that both the arms will turn with very little pressure. (watch out for forks sticking out of the cuttlery tray etc.)
You can usually clear a blockage by putting a bag over the back of the arm that engages with the pumped water on the arm that "IS WORKING" this will increase the pressure to the arm that is not working usually freeing the obstruction.

Ice maker overfill

The metal off/on arm may be disconnected. A full bin should keep the arm in the up position and shut off the ice maker.
Remove, then re-insert the metal arm in the back of the ice maker control head.
Make sure that a full bin of ice activates the control arm.
You may need to buy a replacement arm that is longer so that the ice catches on the arm.

Kenmore Elite refrigerator won't stop making ice

sometimes when you pull the shelf in and out, it will bind on the shut off arm and cause it to "pull out" of the i/m module. the arm has to be put back into the back of the module. you can take the i/m out of the freezer or just use a mirror and look for the place the arm goes. it looks like a 1/4", round, white plastic slot. the arm just pushes into the white piece and thats what causes the i/m to shut off when full or when the arm is lifted up.

Need to remove wash module

You should be able to hold the spray arm and unscrew the center section to remove the entire assembly. Be aware of any washers or other parts that need to be re-installed when putting it back on.
