Hi Robert Mujica - Usually this type of information is not release to someone who is not a technician and it is very rare to find enough information to do it yourself. In most cases this information can be found on the internet; however it is not provided directly from the manufacturer. Typically this is something that you want a certified professional to install/remove for you due to safety and liability reasons. They also usually warranty their labor just in case something else may turn out to be the root cause of your initial problem and it does work out better to your advantage. Consider contacting your manufacturer for more details on who in your area may guide you through this process.

Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis. http://electro-medical.blogspot.com/ To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.

Before going further; try a hard reset first. If it does not help you, replace the main digital board. There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; visit the site linked here.

I have the 60LN5400-UA I spoke with someone the other day and they suggested to order a power board. I am confused I have no red stand by light but I can see the lights through the back panel.

If the power indicator LED at its front panel is ON, then the power supply regulator section circuit board is OK. The fault should be with its digital main board itself. After power is switched ON, the poser regulator board supplies different voltages to different stage circuits inside. These voltages are controlled by the main system control IC, at its main digital board. Now it do not work, and why you can't power ON the set, either by remote control, or with the front panel control.

Resetting the board in dishwasher

If there is a procedure to reset your board it would be to remove power, then restore power to the dishwasher and press certain combination of buttons within certain number of seconds. As far as I remember that procedure was available and was described in tech documentation for Whirlpool, Kitchen Aid and Kenmore dishwashers. I don't recall such procedure for Maytags.
The tech documents are usually under the kick panel, which is under the dishwasher door.
The "hard" reset procedure for any control board would be the following sequence (standard electrical safety and common sense rules apply):
  • remove power (unplug, turn off circuit breaker, etc.)
  • access the control board; with Maytag dishwashers it would be inside the door
  • make a picture or descriptive list of all plugs and wires connected to the board so you could reconnect those later
  • make sure you don't have an electrical charge on yourself - touch the grounded part of the dishwasher, usually the frame
  • CAREFULLY (you can damage your board) disconnect all plugs and wires from the board
  • with a large flat blade screwdriver or any other metal tool insulated from your hand, briefly short the connectors on the board. If you can identify where the power wires connect to the board - short those between each other first.
  • put all plugs back using the picture or the description you've made before disconnecting; put the appliance back together. turn on the power.

Good luck,

Having fitted a new battery I need to re-set a Crane & Viceroy atomic watch but cannot find the re-set button.

The reset is typically not a button. If you look at the back lid with the watch open you might have instructions to reset or "AC" the watch. Usually this involves using tweezers or lever to contact the battery and circuit board to clear it. My suggestion for this procedure is to see a watch maker/technician since the circuit board is easily damaged.

Scanner light should come on at power up. Found ribbon cable connecting scanner unit to base had come unplugged from socket on circuit board. The ribbon cable is one of three found near back hinge of scanner and is hidden underneath the other two. It should drape over the edge of circuit board and then plug into small recepticle on inner side of board. I plugged it in and printer works again. Hope this helps.

Try replacing the thermal fuse in the fuser. Then reset your C41 by using the "08" mode, code 89, reset to 0. If that doesn't work, replace the thermistor and do the same procedure again.
