If you wipe your drive you will need to load another operating system on it unless you want to sell it ?

You have to format a hard drive with a third party disk unless its a usb data drive Restart your computer During the boot process you will see on the screen to press a certain key to enter setup usually the Delete or F2 key this will vary depending on your operating system Press and hold that key during the boot up process to enter BIOS then using the arrow keys navigate to advanced bios features press enter change your first boot device to cd press escape then press f10 to save to cmos restart or if you are using a USB insert your usb drive click start right click on my computer select open you should see your USB drive right click then select format another way is to control panel administrive tools, computer management disk management right click on your drive select format
hope this helps www.WipeDrive.com

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

How to wipe hard drive and clean install windows 7

Sounds like you may have purchased a "Windows 7 upgrade" (whatever version Home/Pro,) version....

now that win7 is on it, you can boot from the CD, choose the "repair my computer" option, then choose the Advanced Startup repair options....and you can use the command window to re-format, or delete the partition and and re-format the drive....then start-over with a clean disk.

article to read on getting it to 'authenticate' if you DID buy Upgrade media and you want to do a clean install, (normally it won't without some tweaking.)

When I put my 2006 ford Five Hundred in Reverse, Netrual and Drive, the gear is getting stiff to move. Why is this happening?

Has Coke or anything that goes sticky been spit around gear shift? I have had this before & had to pull console apart & clean with spray & wipe.

My disk drive on my laptop has stopped working. how do i check if my frivers are working correctly

If you mean the cd drive then try cleaning the lens on the laser.Just open the tray and look for the little round glass lens. Take a cotton bud and just wipe it gently across the lens, don't press too hard as the lens is supported on a very sensitive suspension so it can move up and down to compensate for uneven cd's. You can use an alcohol cleaner on the cotton bud but you only need a tiny amount. I have cleaned them just by breathing on the lens to moisten it, then wipe with cotton bud.

Hi josephamy99
Yes , you can . Launch the install disc and follow instructions .
Note : back up all your data and drivers ( very important , the drivers , some hadware could not function if you don't reinstall the drivers on your new system ) .
Best regards ,

My external hard drive comes up with 'you have to format drive before use' even though ive been using it, and if i format it i will loose all my files.

You may have an interface problem. Check your connection
(USB most likely). Unplug the cable and plug it back in to see
if your system will automatically detect it. Don't do a format
unless you really have the intention of wiping your hard drive clean.
Also it is worth a trial to Shut Down your system and do a fresh
Reboot to see if it fixes your connection.

My Xbox 360 disc is scratched and I can't play it.HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!(How do I fix it???)

Try fogging it with your breath and wipe the disc from the INSIDE circle and straight OUT to the outside rim of it. Don't rub all around the disc; it'll just ruin it. Start from the inside, wipe straight out. Alternatively, you could use a glasses cleaning polishing cloth. Again, wipe from the inside out. Then add some glass cleaner onto it and (once again) wipe it gently. If you have any Carnauba car wax, use a small amount on there; it'll fill in the scratches that are there. For the last time, wipe from the inside out. It's a lot, I know, but I hope it works for you.
