It's likely either a pressure switch or inlet water inlet valve malfunction. Can you give me a model number for your machine? Also a little more info on symptom. For example does it overflow when running a cycle? Or is there water in the tub when you go to use it?

Shut off water to house and drain water

Depending on where you live you may need to call your utilities company to come out and turn off your water. Before the water is shut off be sure to turn off your hot water heater. When the water is shut off you can drain your system by turning on an outdoor faucet which is normally the lowest fixture in the house. You will also need to turn on the hot water valve at any fixutre to drain the hot water out o the lines. Water will still remain in the hot water heater.

Main water valve

Your house is all ran in pipes and fittings. A lot of fittings, every turn, every time it splits off. When you turn off and on the main water, there is some air that gets into the line. When you turn it on the water pushes the air out with water preasure. That makes a water hammer, a pounding of water. the work hammer should say a lot. Like anything else, all those fittings can leak. So turning the water reduces the preasure you put on the 100's of fittings you have in your house. Why take the chance, turn it on slowly.

Don't mind the title it made me choose one. Main water supply valve was not one of them

Water pressure

There is no control to turn the pressure up.

Start by checking the water supply to the Ref.

1. Turn the water supply off and disconnect the water line at the back of the ref.
2. Turn the water back on and fill a small pan with water to observe the pressure. low pressure here then replace the tap valve on the cold water line. If the pressure is ok then the problem is in the ref water valve.

I want to take a sink unit out. This means I have to turn off the cold water mains and hot water. I have a Worcester combi boiler and am not sure how to turn off the direct hot water . Can you help

Under the sink itself there should be shut-offs. To turn off the water to your boiler, first turn the power off to it at the breaker box. Then on the boiler itself, there will be some valves. One of the valves will be located in the copper line that comes from your water meter. Turn that one off. If you want to turn off the water to the whole house, right next to the water meter there should be a valve. Turn it off and open all faucets to ensure the water is off. Reverse this procedure when establishing water pressure again.
