SOURCE: My saw problem has to do with changeing the blade.

The nut is binding on the arbor because the threads are buggered up or clogged with something. It could be the nut (which is probably brass and soft) or the arbor (which is steel). If it got a little cross threaded, the damage will be on the nut. It might be the arbor if the arbor took a whack. Once you have it apart you should be able to see it - although the damage might be pretty small. You aren't likely to have a tap and die to run through the threads, but you can probably fix it with a little rotary tool (like a dremel) using a small disc. If it is the arbor you can use a triangular file. Or you can buy a new nut. I hope this helps.

I need to buy a fine tooth blade for my Workzone drop saw. Say 80 teeth

the circular blades for all compound saws have two important specifications. 1. the arbor size (the center hole in the blade and the diameter of the blade (usually 10" or 12"). After determining that you can choose the number of teeth on the blade. Not all blade manufactures offer every diameter, arbor size, and number of teeth.

We have a master craft 12inch maximum dual bevelmitre saw with laser, came with a 12 inch blade with a 5/8 arbor, apparently they don't sell 12 inch blades with 5/8 arbor, only 1 inch. apparently saw...

You need a saw blade bushing. It looks about like a wedding ring with a 5/8 id (inside diameter) and a 1 inch od (outside diameter). I did a quick google search and found this:

I have a Sears 10 inch bench top table saw. Model 133221770. purchased in 1998. Lost the ''collar blade''. Sears stopped making the part, can I substitute or where can I find one?

If you can measure the arbor size, (the spindle the blade goes on), just buy any collar that will fit. The basic purpose of the collar is to spread out the force over a larger area of the blade from the arbor nut when it is tight.

Blade shaft slipping

It could be a number of issues. These saws have a built in vari-torque clutch used to prevent kickbacks. Basically, when the blade binds while cutting, the arbor spins but the blade won't (prevents kick-back). It works by not over tightening the blade washer (this is the slip clutch), if you over tighten, the blade washer can't prevent kick-backs because it has no room to slip, if you under tighten, the arbor spins, but the blade won't. I'd try to tighten the blade washer 1/8 turn and see what that does. If your actual arbor shaft is not spinning, you could have a gear issue. If you hear the motor running and the arbor slips (not the slip clutch) sounds like there might be a gear issue,If the rotor is spinning (the part inside the stator-i.e. the electric motor section) but it is not transfering that movement to the arbor, it has to be a gear issue.

The blade spins to fast and torque is very low. What do I replace

If this is a belt driven saw, maybe the pulleys on the motor and arbor are reversed? If both pulleys have the same size hole and the one on the motor is larger than the one on the saw arbor, then you should switch them. This will lower the RPM and increase torque.
If this is a direct drive saw (the motor shaft is the saw arbor) then the only recourse is to use a smaller blade.

Blade becomes loose after 4-5 cuts

Check to see if the arbor, nut or spindle is worn. You may want to get a new shouldered nut for it. Also see if running loose has damaged the shoulder on the spindle. Check that the correct size of arbor is being used on the blade.

How do I replace my mitre saw blade?

It should still easily fit a 5/8" blade. The arbor shape shouldnt have any effect on the type of arbor hole needed on the saw blade (only round arbor holes are made on saw blades. You will probably find the arbor securing nut has a shape that fits into the flat gaps between the saw blade and the arbor when fixed. So grab a 5/8" round arbor saw blade and give it a go. It should work fine.
It is the arbor nut that secures the blade onto the arbor via friction which holds it on.

Size of hole in 10inch blade for dewalt power workshop radial arm saw

Most 10" saw blades are bored to fit a 5/8" arbor.
Unless someone has changed the arbor on your saw, I'd say that's 99% sure to work.
Are you making your own blades, or accessorizing? In any event, start with 5/8" and see where that gets you.
