No rocket science here - my son fiddled with the cable cord attachment, until presto, the screen became sharp. Then we moved away as fast as possible, lest we shifted it and it put us back at square one.!!

The model listed will have INSIDE a high voltage transformer with two plastic adjustments on the rear--focus and screen are typical--screen needs to be adjusted up just a tiny amount in most cases---CAREFUL AS HIGH VOLTAGE THERE AND ADJUST MUST BE DONE WITH SET ON.
a few models may have the screen control on the board at the rear of the neck of the picture tube but that is rare.
Usually that is caused by a part failure. The vertical deflection ckt is most likely the roblem. Sometimes it's just a cap usually a 100mf right next to the vertical ic chip. Or it can be the ic itself. Unfortunately you can't adjust it out.
Are you connected to cable TV or an outdoor antenna? If on cable TV check the signal on another TV or if on an outdoor antenna you will need a digital TV adaptor to pick up local stations due to them not being available in analog anymore. Please take moment to rate my answer. Thanks...
If you can get the tv to display the blue blackground(usually happens when there is no antenna or cable feed to tv) check to see if the whole screen is a solid blue, if it shows discolored areas around the screen then you might have to "demag" the screen. See if you can rent a demad coil from a tv shop and with tv on turn the coil in circular movements all over the front of screen till blue is solid.good luck!
hi what you need to do is get onto the tvs menu and turn off the auto function that selects best picture like widscreen 16.9 the screen ratio if you put it on one of the other settings other than auto you wont have this problem just try each setting untill you have correct picture so as it fills the screen. Let me know if you need further asssistance ok
At the rear of the tv there may be two controls on the right hand side marked "screen" and "focus".If the set is newer, you will have to remove the cover and look to your right. You will see a dark object with a black or red wire coming out of it's top. That is your flyback transformer. On this you will find these two controls.Adjust your focus with the one so marked.Be careful to only adjust this control while you watch your picture clear.PROMPLY put the cover back.
Each projection set has focus controls in back, usually they don't move or go out of focus unless someone moves it, but in your case if you open the back you will see a focus block with 6 knobs 3 are for screen,I would highly recommend that you don't move this. Look for the focus and you will have to set each with the one color. Cover the other two and adjust.
TRY ADJUSTING THE SCREEN CONTROL ADJUSTMENT AT THE BOTTOM OF THE FLYBACK TRANSFORMER.THIS SHOULD REMOVE THE RETRACE LINES AND ANJUST THE HASY LOOK TO THE PICTURE IF NOT YOU HAVE A BAD CAP IN THE SCREEN CIRCUIT .LOOK FOR A 10MFD/250V CAP IF FEEDS THE NECK BOARD ATTACHED TO THE PICTURE TUBE 200V DC.
