My delonghi blue flame heater has a continuous yellow flame is this normal and should it have ceramic panels

Yello is bad. The tips of the flame must be blue for proper combustion . There is an air mixture adjustment that must be made to decrease the amount of carbon monoxide. On the burner, there is a metal part that has slots on it and a screw holding it in place. Loosen the screw and , with the heater flame on, rotate that metal part until blue flame tips are seen.

Yellow flame how do you adjust it to a normal blue/yellow tip flame

You need to introduce more air to the flame. There is an adjustment near the venturi which is just past the control knob. This is a job best left to a gas fitter who will also adjust minimum flame height at the same time. Quick job, less than an hour.

Left burner produces a normal blue flame, but the right burner produces a big yellow flame - how can I fix this?

Hi inomura...
Look at the left burner, pipe, air hole adjustment, etc because it is operating good.
You will see a difference to it compared to the on the right.
The right pipe, air hole, or the length the pipe that are iserted in the gas control valve is different from the left.
The yellow flame indicates that not enough air is getting to the flame getting to the right flame ignition point.
The left flame is nice and blue...normal, the right is yellow indicating that not enough air is getting to the flame ignition point...look to see if the air hole adjustment is different than the one on the left...there is something open more or less, improperly adjusted.
Once you have it adjusted properly the right flame will burn bright blue just as it does on the left.
Please take time to rate me

When stove is on a yellowish orange flame comes from burner. This has not occured until now. We own this viking oven for about 10 yrs without any issue whatso ever. Can you help to resolve this issue

You need to replace the burner if you want blue flame. Since its 10 years old, it's about time to replace the burner with similar size and shape. Old burner have big hole causing yellowish flame compare to new one.
I hope I solve your problem.

ON MY ATWOOD WATERHEATER IT LIGHTS BUT PRODUCES A LOT OF SOOT AND DOES NOT SEEM TO FIRE UP LIKE IT SHOULD

You need to start by cleaning burner tube and pilot intake , sounds like spiders have probably spun a web in there. If flame is yellowish, it's not getting enough air. You can buy a barbecue burner brush, long and flexible, and run it through burner tube to clean out web, and if pilot is yellow as well, there is a small hole in side of fitting where it attaches up near burner that needs to be cleaned out with paper clip or even better, compressed air. After cleaning burner, adjust air shutter to get nice blue flame, with just a hint of yellow at tip. The idea there is to get blue flame, but not a roaring flame that is jumping off the burner. A spider web in there will usually allow propane through, but restricts air mixture, thus causing yellow flame (rich mixture) and soot to build up.

Smell gas when dryer running. no smell when dryer stopps.

your not getting enough air to gas mixture to burn the gas completely, you will see an orangish/yellowish flame if the air mix is too low, access the burner tube and adjust the air throttle on the tube entry end till its a clean blue flame

I'm unable to get blue flame on orca torch, it makes a crackling noise when I light it and has yellowish gunk in the tip, Can you help?

Is this torch powered by acetylen and if so then the yellow gunk you are seeing is unstable acetyleen which is caused by a torch that is releasing the gas faster then it can be handled in normal atmospher whic would be why you can not get a blue flame, I would say that the tip is to large for the tanks you have the system attached to. I would ask your dealer to suggest the tip size that the torch set you are using would be compatiable with the tank size you have attached. I would not try to use the set until I get it sorted out as unstable acetyleen is very explosive. Hope This Helps Don

The flame keeps intermittently going out on my gas heater

The air intake hole on the pilot is probably clogged with a small bit of dust or hair. Look to see if your flame is yellowish instead of a nice blue on the pilot. Your pilot should always be blue, also look to see if the pilot is touching the thermal couple. This is a easy fix if your flame has a yellow tip to it and is barily missing the thermal couple. Turn off your heater for 30 minutes to allow it to cool. Next locate the small air intake hole on the pilot it should be roughly a 1/16 diamiter hole. Get a bendy straw and use it to blow through the hole (gently) any pressure over 30 psi will damage the unit. Reassemble and test light your pilot. A low or yellow flame on your pilot cuasing it to miss the thermal couple activates your heaters safety shut off system. These systems are there for a reason, NEVER attempt to adjust your gas controls, If it does not work and cannot be fixed with a good cleaning, call a repair man.

Rinnai 556 F sputters when starting

As a licenced plumber the only thing I will suggest is to call someone and have them service the heater.

Gas is deadly, and it sounds like there is something blocking the injector port, causing the gas/air mixture to not mix properly, which will make the flame change colour and characteristics.

The burner may need to come out, the inlet gas pressure will need to be checked and other things.

The rinai heaters are also expensive, as you would know, and trying to fix it yourself is dangerous. Also, once serviced by a plumber you will have the peace of mind to know it has been serviced properly and will run well for many more years.

You will need to find a licenced gas fitter.
