My Laptop is suddenly taking 15 minutes to load up after turning

Everything is really slow. The media player can no longer play a song without skipping and other software seems to have trouble running. The internet is also having trouble surfing the web.

Clean the pc up to speed it up a little, download ccleaner and install it, run the cleaner and delete all the files it finds, then clean the registry and fix the issues found, if it asks you to save the changes to the registry click yes and fix do this a couple of times so no issues are found.
If the pc is still slow after this clean then the issue is either memory or the operating system is degrading.

Limewire 5.0 sucks!

There are several things that I can see that might be driving your mp3 player haywire:
A) About 1/3 of Limewire songs contained some type of writing in the "Comments" section of the songs' ID3 Tags before version 5 - it may be up to 100% now, and your player obviously doesn't like it. This is going to be a real bear, but I would take one of the songs you just downloaded, open it in Windows Media Player, and right-click the song title within Windows Media Player. Select "Advanced Tag Editor," and delete any writing that appears in the "Comments" section of the ID3 tag. Then try transferring that song to your player and see if it plays correctly. If it does, repeat with all of the songs you just downloaded. It will take you forever.

B) If you use iTunes to transfer songs to your mp3 player, version 5 will not work with iTunes - it simply pastes a data file into iTunes which is not the actual song, so it may appear to transfer correctly, but in fact you have not transferred the actual song file. Use Windows Media Player to transfer instead.

C) The bitrate on songs in version 5 is higher - most mp3 players have a maximum bit rate that they can handle, and ver. 5 might exceed this upper limit. The solution would be to convert all of your mp3 files to a lower bit rate using free software such as Media Monkey.

Without dragging this explanation out any longer, I think your best solution would be to revert back to Ver. 4.1 or so.

Good luck!

My Laptop suddenly takes 15 minutes to turn on from the loading screening (where it says acer after its turned on and the blue loading bar is going) and simple tasks are now slower, such as the media...

The best thing you can do is add more RAM. As more programs and documents are loaded the more RAM it needs. However, there are also a couple of other things you can try first. This will clean up all the old /tmp files that are not needed and also fix your hard drive so all the data is together and not spread out.
click on start>programs>accessories>system tools>disk cleanup. Run this first to get rid of the junk files that are left on your computer by websites
After the disk cleanup go back to the same location and run Defrag.
Each time you delete a file it leaves a blank space on the hard drive. after a while it takes longer to find files. The defrag will push all the data together in a row so it is faster to find.
Hope this helps.

Sansa Clip 2gb only plays parts of songs

The songs you have loaded have a restrictive license on them that only allows full playback on a computer, not on an mp3 player. If you only download songs in mp3 format, you will never have this problem.

WILL NOT PLAY

This player will be ruined by using Windows Media Player 11 to transfer songs. It may work fine for a while, but eventually it will fail. You already ran the Repair and it didn't solve the issue, so if it is a Windows Media Player-related issue, that player may be toast.
Alternatively, you may be trying to load a song that had a fixed-term DRM license. The license could now be expired, requiring you to refresh the download through the music service from which it was purchased.

Sandisk e250 mp3 player froze up and won't turn off!

To Reboot your sansa e250 without removing batteries . Switch to hold position ( right beside headphone jack ) Press and hold menu and rec buttons at the same time untill screen resets. On my player lock up usually happens when it hits a corrupt song - try to delete and reload the culprit to minimize future lock ups. Hope this helps someone out there.
