There no diplay eccept lots of blue, red, green lines on the monitor, please help

Try another monitor if it works the way it should then it's the other monitor. If the result is the same reboot the computer in safe mode by tapping the f-8 key when you see fhe first splash screen choose safe mode. If it still messed up then you have a graphics problem. Take the computer in and have it tested.

you need to run them in compatability mode for xp
HOWEVER not to worry. Right click on the game icon and select properties. Click on the compatibility tab and tick the box in the compatibility mode section. Select xp and click apply.Stat the game and hopefully it works.

Shift key works like backspace key

Sounds like a virus or infection has hijacked your keyboard. Try booting in safe mode and see if the keyboard works.

Turn off the computer, then hit the power button to turn it back on and immediately start hitting the F8 key repeatedly until you see SAFE MODE. Take the Safe Mode option and let it boot up. Safe Mode will look different to you, the screen will be darker and the icons bigger, this is normal. If the keyboard works ok in safe mode, turn it off and reboot again as if you are going into safe mode, but this time select the Safe Mode With Networking option (this will give you internet connectivity). When it boots up, open your browser and download and install MalwareBytes and run a Quick Scan.

Go to www.google.com and in the search box type: "Download cnet Malwarebytes" (without the quotes). Download and install malwarebytes from the sites download.cnet/malwarebytes. When the site opens up click on the Green Download button on the left. Do not click the Red Download button, that's junk. When it finishes installing the Gui Interface will open up with an offer to Accept a Trial Version or Decline. CLICK DECLINE you want the totally free version. Run a QUICK SCAN. As it scans, if it finds infections the number will be in red. When it finishes scanning, click SHOW RESULTS. A notepad text document will open up showing you the results. You can close the text document and go back to the Gui Interface where you will click REMOVE SELECTED RESULTS. The objects will already be selected for you. When it finishes removing the objects click ok and it will sometimes reboot your machine.

THE KEYBOARD DOESN WORK

Sounds like the battery in the keyboard is dead. Also make sure you have the wireless doggle that came with the keyboard and mouse plugged into the usb port. You might try plugging it into another port.

I'm thinking your keyboard is dead because of the battery or a virus has hijacked your keyboard.

Try booting up in Safe Mode to make sure it's not virus related. Turn the computer off, then turn it on and immediately start hitting the F8 key repeatedly until you see SAFE MODE. Select the Safe Mode option and let it boot up. Safe Mode will look different because the icons are bigger and the screen is darker, this is normal. If your keyboard works in safe mode then you might have a virus that can't function in safe mode.

With Vista OS , worked fine, upgraded to windows 7..realized cinedash/multimedia does not work, but ignored..the more irritant is - when A/C power is plugged in, the computer starts rebooting every 5-10...

Try this
Remove the battery, plug in the AC Adapter and reboot into safe mode.
  1. Click on the Start button and then choose Control Panel.
  2. Click on the System and Security link.
Note: If you're viewing the Large icons or Small icons view of Control Panel, you won't see this link. Simply click on Device Manager and then proceed to Step 4.
  3. In the System and Security window, click on the Device Manager link located under the System heading.
Click on processors
disable all of the processors and restart your computer.

Sounds like the power utility is messing with you...disabling those and rebooting SHOULD solve the problem.

Of course this is just a guess...if you could post an event log of the shutdown that would make things easier.

I hope this helps! If this did help you, please give a thumbs up!

Thank you for choosing FixYa!

Unable to remove Gothic from my computer

First, Try removing it in Safe Mode. If you are not familiar with Safe Mode:

Turn your PC on or Restart. As soon as you see the black and white screen, press and hold the F8 key. Continue holding until you see a black and white menu. Safe Mode is F3 or F5.

Click Start, Programs, run your AV program, install, uninstall, whatever.

When it is finished, Restart.

You will probably find your icons messed up. No biggee. Drag them back into place.

If it doesnt work try this:

Possible Display or Motherboard Problem

Liquid on the electrical circuits, causes bad things to happen.
Do not replace the computer, until you exhaust all of your options.
Did you try the most simple solution of replacing the mouse?
Have you tried starting in safe mode? (with new mouse)
Otherwise: When you get the computer to start
Go to your "Device Manager" (Right click on ‘My Computer', select 'Properties', click the 'Hardware' tab, click the 'Device Manager' button. Click the "Human interface devices", if there is one). If there is some kind of a "Warning" icon superimposed on the 'Mouse' icon or any other icon, there is your problem!
If no "Warning" icons then try...
One at a time...
Double click on any of the devices that have 'Mouse' in the listings.
Click the "Properties" tab; look for any "Warning" icons
Un-install the DRIVERS for THAT DEVICE only. See instructions below.
Click on the faulty device and hit the remove button, follow the instructions given by the program.
Shutdown, restart, the device will automatically reinstall by the "Found New Hardware" program.
