more then likely its a hardware issue.
try getting an R4DS card and download games from www.filestube.com if you dont want to repair it.
you can have 50+ games on an sd card and not have to lug around all those games anymore
These ds's have a problem with tarnish as well as the pins getting bent - I can fix it for you, I have done several of these. if the pin is bent the game stays down too far after clicking in and it won't read. I takes about 20 mins to straighten it out. email@example.com
You may have a bent pin on the game slot. Try inserting a game several times rapidly in and out. Look at your game cartridges and see if one of the contacts is damaged in the same place on all of the cartridges.
If this does not solve the issue, you will need to get your console repaired. Either the repair shop will replace all of the electronics or resolder a new game slot on your existing board.
