Hello,

Please check your battery and power source to ensure that power is not the cause of your problem. Then after you check please try to find a computer technician in your place or a computer shop and let them fix for your problem or contact your supplier to ask for help especially in your problem.

If it does the same thing w/ the battery removed and just on AC, it's a power regulator problem on the motherboard. If it works with the battery out, the battery is dead and you need a new one.

THERE IS A CHIP IN THE KEY I BELIEVE. THERE IS A RELEARN PROCEDURE YOU CAN TRY IF WHEN YOU TRY AND START IT THE SECURITY LIGHT FLASHES. HOOK UP A BATTERY CHARGER. TURN THE KEY ON AND TRY AND START THE CAR AND RELEASE . DO NOT TURN KEY OFF LEAVE IT IN THE RUN POSITION. AFTER 10 MINS THE LIGHT WILL STOP FLASHING. TURN KEY OFF. TRY AND RESTART CAR AND AGAIN DO NOT TURN KEY OFF LEAVE IN THE RUN POSITION. LET SET 10 MINS AGAIN. LIGHT WILL STOP FLASHING AFTER THAT 10 MINS. DO IT AGAIN FOR THE 3RD TIME. SHUT KEY OFF LET SET 5 SECONDS AND START THE VEHICLE. HOPE THIS HELPS

Ram slots problems

Are you sure it's the slot and not the ram? Try switching the ram to isolate which memory chip is bad. You can start by using on ram and one slot, then booting and if it's ok, move it to the next slot and boot. Once you've tested that one memory chip, do the same thing with the other memory chip. More than likely you've got a bad memory chip.

Try switching the ram in each slot. If switching them around does not solve the problem and your slot is truely bad, you will have to replace the motherboard or increase the size of the ram in the slot that works.

i think the main problem is your power supply, maybe not enough power to make boot.. try another power supply with high voltage.. hope this useful, regard riyan.

Lightbulb is red and flashing next to turn on switch. What is the cause?

Could be a number of things. Usually a hardware problem Try:
-removing and reseating the RAM chips, test, if no good, try
-remove one RAM chip, test, if no good, try
-unplugging all components (hard drives, CD/DVD drives, floppy...anything that consumes power), test, if no good, try
-letting the system sit for 10 minutes, powered off too cool down, test, if no good, try
-a different CPU, test, if no good, try
-a different motherboard

If any of the above steps gives you a different result than the flashing red light, then the offending part has been removed from the test equation.
-Reseating the RAM can fix thermal creep
-If you have one bad RAM chip out of multiple chips, removing and replacing them one at a time can show which chip may be bad.
-If a drive/component is bad, removing that component can allow the computer to boot
-Heat can cause component failure or erratic behavior (no boot, etc)
-A failed CPU can prevent boot or POST
-A failed motherboard can prevent boot or POST.

Best of luck!

Everytime I turn on my D410 Dell Laptop, the screen doesn't turn on. The caps blink about 10 times then shuts down. Please help?):

The flashing caps lock light indicates an SDRAM memory fault. If you are comfortable accessing the RAM yourself you can try re-seating it and see if that fixes the problem. If that does not work or you do not want to open the laptop up yourself, you will need to have the RAM replaced.

you need to get a new ign. lock cylinder and chip key. Or you can get a lock cylinder and copy your old key with a regular key no chip. Take new cylinder, put old chip key in it. Plug into harness at the bottom of steering column just behind the dash, fine orange wire from existing one in the column. Hide lock cylinder under dash and start car with copy of old key.

I just change my battery in an 05 grad pre. it still will not start i;ve had it say security issuses, but now there nothing that says that. it just clicks

if you changed the battery and it just clicks , must likely is a bad starter,.. now if its cranks and won't run and the security light states flashing, then it could be a security problem...you will need to open the ignition and let the light flashing for 10 min , when the light turn off , close the ignition , and turn on again, do this three time..

Inspiron 6400 doesn't start.

On Flash Flash indicates that no RAM memory is being detected. So remove both RAM modules, insert 1 at a 30 deg angle till the gold contacts cannot be seen, then lock it in place, and see if the RAM is detected. Test both modules in both slots, see if system will boot with at least one. If no change, try a new RAM module, if still no change, replace the motherboard

No Lights On But Fans On

I would start by using only 1 stick of RAM this sounds like symptom of a failing ram card or occasionally ram socket. The RAM is on the bottom of the laptop under the middle panel.

If you have 2 chips try each chip individually in each socket.

If it was turning itself off it was probably overheating - i see the fans gets clogged on this series all the time. You may want to blow it out with a can of compressed air.

Let us know if you need more help.
