Question about LG Dare VX9700 Cell Phone
I dropped my lg touch in the toilet yesterday, I immediately took out the battery and put both the battery and the phone in a bowl of white rice. this morning I turned on the phone to see if it still works. but the inside screen is striped blue and won't show up. is there anyway I can fix it without taking it to the Verizon store or getting a new phone???
Its not dry enough... Blow dry it 1 to 1and a half meters away from phone a minute every 2 hours... with a minimum of 3 days...

Put it in a ziplock bag of uncooked rice for several weeks. And make sure the battery is out of it. So put in the battery and phone but they should be apart.

If you have insurance on your phone getting it wet will invalidate all warranties and insurance. The only time insurance can be used if the phone is malfunctioning (not from getting wet), or LOST. If your phone is lost, they will give you a brand new one under the insurance policy.
The only piece of a mobile that can go bad when dunked is the LCD screen if it has liquid in it.
1. If you do not want to purchase anything, you can try to remove the lens from the LCD screen and see if any water is between the lens and the lcd. (the lens is the glass that covers the lcd which is usually stuck on with double sided tape.)
2. You can purchase a new lcd and install it.
3. to disassemble the phone follow these instructions:
4. replace the screen, and the phone should be good as new.

SOURCE: I have an enV 2,
Yo! the drying system you used is not enough to dry it. you need to open it up to the best you can and dry under the sun for hours or under **** heat. that should do. thanks
