SOURCE: Neff oven B1641 child lock

I actually had the same problem and got the solution. Maybe its a bit late, but hopefully there will be somebody who find this useful as well.

Its not an error. The -5- indicates that the oven is "children protected".
- Put the left ON/OFF switch into its OFF position (the left switch)
- Turn it quickly 3 times: one click to the left and then one click back to right again [light position, Off position]
=> The message disappers.

If you do this again, the protection is switched on again.

Greetings from Germany

SOURCE: how do I switch off child lock from my neff oven 1641

So, you should have a "-s-" being displayed if you have the child lock on.
The switch for selecting the oven mode( oven, fan oven, grill etc)
-from its off position, turn it one click left so the light comes on, and then click it back to off. Do this three times in quick succession. The "-s-" should now have disappeared and you can use your oven again.
Regards,
Steve.

- Note: If the system lock is activated for more than 4 days, the oven clock will have to be reset.

When I try to turn my oven on, it says LOC. I don't know how this happened or how to reset it. Stove was in the house when we bought it a few months ago.

That message is normally visible when cleaning the oven at high temp. Or it is the child lock. Did the owners ask if you wanted to buy it and you said "No thanks" :>)

Try removing the power plug at the back for 30 seconds and reconnect. If that doesn't work Google

    make model manual

Removing the child lock often just involves holding two or three keys for a few seconds.

When using the oven the electicity tripped; after resetting the breaker the oven does not appear to get hot; however the grill works, the light works and the fan works what could be the problem?

Sounds like the oven element has gone. When these elements go they often short against the outside casing of the element which is earthed (or should be). This trips the main trip switch in the house. Having tripped and cooled down, the element is now broken inside & won't heat up. Usually 2 screws to remove, either inside oven or outside at back. Element usually taken out thro oven. Take it & cooker info to your dealer & ask for replacement. Shouldn't cost much.

Electrolux EOB 6632 oven trips main house circuit breaker if used above 180c. Installation electrician has done whole house test, says everything normal, must just be a particularly sensitive ciecuit...

Hi, welcome to FixYa! my name is Shaun. I hope i can help you out with your question. Your main house breaker is tripping over 180C because of the amount of current your oven is drawing. Keep in mind that an oven is capable of pulling up to 1/4 the amount of amperage of your total house current capacity, up to 50 Amps. This is assuming you have a typical 200 Amp main breaker. Add this in with your heating/air-conditioning, up to 30A, if electric, your water heater, 25 A if electric, and whatever lights and appliances you have plugged in and turned on, you can imagine how quickly those amps add up when your oven is on. Your oven breaker won't trip because you're not exceeding 50A on that circuit, however if your total household load is exceeding 200A, your main will trip. Also, breakers lose efficiency over time. Sometimes they can drop current capacity by as much as 25%. So your best bet is to replace your house main and see if that fixes your problem. Hope this helps out. Have a good day!
