I am rescanning digital channels after cable change. It tells me no channel is available and defaults to 1-0. I tried hitting enter on the remote nothing help!

Do you see any glimpse of any program during the channel scan. If no, check the cable input connection for any loose contact. If the connection is found OK, the tuner of the TV might be defective.
If you can see glimpses of programs during the channel scan, and no received channels are stored after the scan process has been completed, the main system control memory IC of the TV set is faulty, and should be replaced.

I have a Pioneer VSX D412 S receiver with my Pioneer surround sound system The system SUDDENLY STOPPED RECEIVING SOUND SIGNAL FROM MY HD TV

  1. Turn the TV and receiver off and back on. This is called "power cycling" the devices.
  2. Check the menu settings to make certain the TV is still sending a sound signal out to the receiver.
  3. Disconnect the cable, blow both ends out, reconnect, and see if the cable was partially disconnected or has dust or lint interfering with the connections.
  4. Change the cable for another cable that you know to be working.
  5. Use a different source for the TV: DVD, Cable, different channel, etc.
  6. Connect the receiver to another TV.

Unable to to get cable channels in modulator. Set to cable, channels 73/75 but "connection" grayed out. Cable signal strong. Able to read Digital channels on Local set up with same i/p.

mfbmeb,

The connection button is not utilized from the "Modulator Setup" screen. When changing the channel for TV 2, you can arrow over to either air or cable and pressing select. This will select that option and change the channel to either 60 for air or 73 for cable. Once this selection is made then you would move to the "Done" button and press select. You will return to the "Installation" menu, then cancel out till you are back to the TV screen. I hope this helps.

Turned on set....screen all black except a dark blue rectangle in center which reads:Failed to receive broadcast [E202]

That message is presented when a selected digital channel is too weak to decode. Let us hope that something was accidentally changed:

Is the channel legitimate?
Is the antenna/cable still connected (to the Digital input)?
Go into menu - setup - channel setup. Is the selection of either cable or air channels correct for your situation?
Use menu - setup - Antenna Setup-DIGITAL to examine the signal strength. Is there nothing at all, or is it just a question of strength?

Odds favor a change in channel setup that you would not have made intentionally, or a simple physical problem (input cable, etc.). Start from scratch, and check the settings and connections you originally made. Hopefully it will be simple and cheap!

Give them the model number of you television and tell them you are having problems completing the autoscan of the television. I hope this information helps you with your problem. 1.How do I set up my channels or run an autochannel search? 2.Are you using a cable/satellite box, cable connected directly to the TV, or an antenna? 3.If you are using a cable or satellite box you must use the remote that came with that box to change channels. 4.Make sure you have the correct input selected to view channels via the cable or satellite box. Channel stuck and can't record shows the same night

Your two problems are related - the DVD player lost contact with the local PBS channel, which altered its internal clock.

Add a red, white and yellow cable from one of the outs on the back of the cable box to the slot marked AV1 IN on the back of the Philips. Then redo the channel programming - press the System Menu button and change Tuning Band to CATV - it will then ask you if you want to do an Auto Channel Set - say Yes.

Once it is done with the channel programming, turn the DVD player to whatever channel PBS is on in your area's cable service. Then go back to System Menu - select Clock Set and go to Auto. Alternatively, you can select Manual under Clock Set and change the date by hand).

Good luck!

Unable to connect with my wrt54lgl

Try changing the channel frequency on your router. You can usually do this by going into your routers configuration page and then seeing what channel it is set on.

On my router, when I had it set on channel 4 or 5 there was too many issues where it was not connecting. Was probably wireless spectrum interfering with the connection. Then I changed the channel to 11 and it connects all the time.

Optimal connection channels will vary from location to location so play around with them and see which one works for you.

(P.S your installlation Disc included with the router will help you get into the device configuration page)

Good Luck!

Cannot watch channels past 13

Your tuner settings must be set on broadcast instead of cable. Below channel 13, they use the same frequencies so it doesn't matter. Find the tuner settings page in the menus and change the cable/air setting.

Cable channels fuzz out

I think you have a bad connection in the tuner. The tuner is what decides what channel you get. It's a small box inside your tv about the size of a pack of cigarettes. These have been known to develop loose connections or just go bad. Some are pretty expensive depending on the type set you have. Since your set is older and you want it fixed you'd better get an estimae first. Stargazer

Can receive only channels 1 thru 27 although connected to cable with 70 channels.

First you need to check if your set is in the cable mode and not antena mode,if the set is in cable make sure is in the standard cable mode and not another type of cable like HRC,if it is change it and try the autoprogram to set the available channels.I hope it helps.
