mine would constantly cycle in the reboot. I had to clear the stored data by pressng and holding the lower right side of the screen and turning on the gps. once it boots up, it will ask if you want to clear the data memory (will not clear the actual maps). say yes, when it reboots, you will have to redo your personal settings as if it was new out of the box.

To correct this, I recommend backing up your favorites, clearing all user data, and if it still is stuck, then updating your Nuvi firmware.

power the unit on and immediatly place your finger in one of the corners and hold it there. I believe it is the top right but if it doesnt work the first time try a different corner. This will reset the entire device and erase all settings.

To reset your unit power it off, place your thumb on the bottom right corner of the unit and then power it on still holding the bottom right corner. you will receive a message " Do you want to erase all user data?" select yes to reset the unit.

There should be a black dot to press on the calibration screen. Keep pressing the dot as it moves around the screen, you may need to press very firmly and use a stylus until it says calibration complete.
This usually occurs when a unit is dropped or left in extreme temperatures or jammed it a glove box or console with things jammed against the screen. It could also occur if you are touching the screen as you start.
