Software CD's I purchased a SVP HDDV2600 on EBay. It was new in the box, sealed and came with 2 disks. I installed the disks but the computer will not recognize the camera. How can I get the camera and the computer to interface? I tried loading it on another computer with the same results

Hi

If you look into my computer with the camera connected, do you see a removeable disk or camera?

try opening them and see if you can find your contents there.

also are you using windows vista or xp?

Hi, I have had a new computer, O/S windows7, my camcorder is a Sony Handycam DCR-PC105E but I have lost my installation disk when I plug in the USB lead the computers does not see my camcorder are y

You can't tie into the camera stored data without windows 7 software, so you will need to contact the product support website of the camera maker and ask if 7 software is available for the camera. Your old disk would not have worked, no software made for earlier versions of windows will work on the new Windows 7. That is why I have stuck with my XP Pro operating system. Did anyone bring this up when you purchased the new computer?

I need the cd that goes with this HDDV 3001

The Driver file is available on the manufacturer's website. I've found it for you here: http://www.svp-tech.com/download/3000%20DSCDriver.rar this driver file is applicable for the HDDV 3001 model as well as the 3000, according to the website. If you don't already have WinRar to un-rar (decompress) the file you can get a free copy here: http://www.rarlab.com/rar/wrar390.exe. Good luck with the install!

Installing software for my Sony Handycam DCR-HC96

Option 1:

If you want to use the USB cable to connect the Camcorder to the Computer to transfer the video to the Computer then:

(Applicable for Vista Operating System Only.)

This Camcorder does not support USB streaming with the VISTA Operating System. Use an i.LINK cable to transfer the video to the Computer. The i.LINK port is also called IEEE 1394 or Firewire port. (An i.LINK is a black D shaped connector with 4 or 6 pins. The type of cable to be used will depend on the i.LINK port of your Computer. The Sony Camcorder will have the 4 pin i.LINK cable and if the computer has the 6 pin i.LINK port, then you may have to use the 4 pin to 6 pin i.LINK Cable).

You can use any video capturing software like Windows Movie Maker to transfer the video from the Camcorder to the Computer.

Refer this Link for the instruction to transfer the video to the Computer using i.LINK cable.

http://www.kb.sony.com/selfservice/documentLink.do?externalId=C111893

NOTE: As the Camcorder does not support USB streaming with Vista, it is not required to use any Sony Device Driver to transfer the video to the Computer. You do not require any Drivers or Software from Sony to transfer the video from the Camcorder to the Computer using the i.LINK/Firewire interface.

Option 2:

(Applicable for Windows XP Operating System only):

If you are using a Windows XP Operating System then you have to install the USB Streaming Driver in the Computer from the supplied Software disk with the Computer.

Check this Link for the instruction to transfer video to a Computer using USB Streaming.

http://www.kb.sony.com/selfservice/documentLink.do?externalId=C222820

If you do not have the supplied Software disk then I suggest that you use the i.LINK cable to transfer the video.

Or you can purchase the software disk from this link:

https://servicesales.sel.sony.com/ecom/accessories/web/productSearch.do?searchOperation=partSearch&searchText=266675501

NOTE: Since the original supplied software is not available for free download now.

Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!

Buy items on ebay or other online aution sites can be chancy. Most items work at least as promised, others don't. If you don't have the manual. you might try looking up manual online then download. Or you can take in for service/check up
