Question about SanDisk Sansa E280 MP3 Player

Media converter When installing the install CD that came with my player it seems as if I'm missing items. I can't get the Best Buy Music Store preview, or the media converter to load. It doesn't even show up. I can download my own music but nothing else (no pictures or video). What am I to do?

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet toyour computer and then copy them to your MP3 player. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs tomp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and thencopy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable tothe MP3 player and the computer.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player willcreate a MP3 music file for each music track. Click on this link for instruction on converting musicfiles to mp3 file format :-

Cannot download update for best buy music store, and therefore cannot pull up my mp3 pages

Best Buy Digital Music Store is a bust. You must go to and download the latest version of their Rhapsody Software. Once installed and configured, Rhapsody may ask you to install Helix DRM but the process is automated and the setup program handles it for you quite well. Then you are off to the races!!! Good luck Grasshopper.

Convert you *.cda CD files into MP3 extension files, then put them into as many subdirectories as there are disks to avoid overriding the number of cuts on a disk (typically no higher than 25), then
put them in directories marked 1 thru whatever number of disks there are, drag and drop the respective converted mp3s to the directory that corresponds to the CD disk. Then drag and drop the whole works to your playlist directory in your e260, and presto you've got the whole thing. The E260's included software will not do
this, but there should be some freeware around that will do it. Perhaps evern media player will do it. I don't know. I'm wary of any MS programs. They're monsters. The who drag and drop procedure is done in Windows Explorer, the file manager of XP
and, I think, vista too.

My memorex mmp8640 wont let me add videos!

There should have been a mini-CD that came with the item, that contains the software you need to convert the video.

Help with sansa view video mp3 player

I think when you installed the best Buy store, you selcted "always sync" whenever your MP3 is cinnected. Try unixtalling the Best buy media store. and re-installing, taking care to uncheck that feature. For the rest of the community, if you had a e200R, and you are upgrading to the view, you need to also un-install the B.B media store, and od a re-install.... WHY? Because the latest version of the media store, allows you to drag and drop both photos and videos .

just let me know whether this is helpful or not.....

Installing SanDisk mp3 player

The disk is not really necessary. As long as you have Windows XP / SP2 and Windows Media Player 10 or higher. The CD only contains Rhapsody / Best Buy Digital Media Store and the Sansa Media Converter. Both of which you can download from the internet. SMC Rhapsody Best of Luck.
