Camera getting connected and then dis-connected and my photo is coming in negative

Skype is a free software program that allows you to make phone calls through the computer. It also lets you text chat and place video calls. Since Skype is designed for use with web cams, it has the capacity to take snapshots both of you and of the person to whom you are talking in a video call. Plug your web cam into your computer and make sure it is on, open Skype, click on the "Skype" menu, select "Change your picture," and then click "Take Video Snapshot." After that, you can decide whether you want to keep the picture or trash it. Use this option if you want a picture that people can see in Skype almost immediately and don't want to bother with downloading or uploading anything. b>

My web cam blur on skype.

Check if your webcam has a ring on the front of the lens you can turn to focus. Then go to the free webcam test site where you can see yourself, and turns the ring until you sharpen the image.

My web cam won't work

One of the steps I would try is to uninstall the current driver/software that's installed on the computer, and attempt to reinstall either using the disk that came with the webcam when you purchased it, or from downloading the corresponding software/drivers from the manufacturers website, and attempt to set up the webcam using the tools or options in the "pal talk" software. While I'm not entirely familiar with the "pal talk" software, you could also try using Skype or Windows Live Messenger, as they also provide options and set up strategies to tell you if your webcam is working or not.

Web cams and microphone

Hi, First I would suggest you get a Microsoft Life Cam VX-3000 as it will install the easiest and has a mic built in. Then I would suggest you and your family download SKYPE as it is FREE to talk on using the computer. It allows oyou to connect with several family members. Only have to pay if you telephone anyone from the computer using Skype.
So download SKYPE from this site: http://www.skype.com/intl/en/download/skype/windows/beta/
and follow these instruction to setup your voice/video.
Normal 0 After you install Skype and have it operational with you ID. Go to "TOOLS", click on "OPTIONS," Then go to "Audio Settings" and click on it. Make sure both the Microphone and Speaker's are correctly chosen. Then "make a free test call." Wait till the voice tells you to record. Then when finished talking wait for the test persons voice to insure your audio transmission is working. Then go back to options and test your video settings. Click on Video Settings and proceed to set up you video camera. Also, you can Visit this site for additional information to setup video.

Are you using the camera on a computer running Vista? That cam's driver isn't compatible with Vista, although I've heard of some people getting it to work. I'll nose around and see what I can find.
