-   I think this is a common problem. I love these vacs but the two I have had BOTH have done this. Whether it be at the handle that locks into the wand or the wand that locks into the powerhead, over time from the quick release of either one I think prevents these vacuums from lasting. I've never been able to get more than three years out of them. They work fine other than these two items I mentioned. I don't repair vacuums but was wondering is it easy to fix this yourself?

You may not have power to the power head. Check the plug at the neck of the power head, also the wand connections to make sure they aren't burnt. Most of these powerheads also have a circuit breaker on the top of it, press it to see if it will re-set. At the end of the hose handle, there is a female plug where the wand plugs into, push it ans see if it will move inward or not. If it does, then it has broken loose inside of the handle and isn't allowing a connection to the wand. The switch on the hose handle may be bad. The power head motor could be bad. These are the most common problems when the power head won't run.

I need to install part #PHP-236/C45ECUE. This is the connector in the top of the wand that connects the power to the brushes near the thumb switch at the end of the flexible hose. (Hope this makes sense....)
Thanks!

I had a bad connection between the Wire Harness on the handle and the Terminal Cover on the Extension Wand. I replaced the wire harness, the the vacuum runs great. However, I bought the terminal cover because one of the contact pins looks "rusty" and I don't want to cause another poor connection. Will you please provide instructions for the removal of the Terminal Cover? I've played around with this enough to know that I may start to break something if I apply pressure in the wrong places.
