I seem to not be able to figure out the button sequence for programming the shots.

Try pressing and holding the button until the quantity is what you want it to be. Then try it again with just the normal short press to start. If it brews the same quantity as the first one then it is now programmed.

plese read your owner manual for to fix the error codes. God bless you
If you have a more serious digital camera problem and the camera gives you an error message, check your user guide and this list of camera error guides to try to fix the problem. Good luck with your efforts to troubleshoot camera problems!

Another trick to try clearing the lens error message is to press the power button at the same time you press the shutter button. This is a long shot, but it does work on occasion

How do I shorten the shutter speed.

Shutter lag is one (of the many) problems with compact point&shoot cameras, not seen in bulkier (costlier, more complicated) dSLRs. You can reduce the lag by pressing the shutter release button halfway to focus and meter beforehand. Keep the button half-pressed while anticipating the key moment, then press the button the rest of the way.

You'll have to release the button and half-press it again if the distance to the subject changes, or it moves to/from light/shadow.

Nikon D200 - problems formatting card

To use the two format buttons:
Press the "trashcan" format button and hold it. Then press the "mode" format button and hold it. Hold for approx 3~4 seconds. The screen will go blank and display "For" and the number of shots taken on the card.
Release both buttons. Then press the "trashcan" again followed by the format button. The screen will go back to normal, except the number of shots indicator, it will display "For". In a few seconds, your card will be formatted.

Although this may not solve your problem, you may have bad CF Card.
This is normal. Happens all the time.

Try another card. It should format fine. If it doesnt, take your camera to an authorized dealer/repair shop for maint.

Canon EOS 350 timer problems

On the back of the camera there is a small button just to the right of the top of the LCD which has what looks like a little clock. Pressing this button will take you through the 3 modes of operation which are:
Single shot, multiple shots and timer. Watch the LCD panel and you should see the icon change when you press the button. When the single rectangle is showing, that is single shot, when it is multiple staggered rectangles that is multi shot and when you see a little clock that is timer mode. Usually I shoot with multi shot mode.

Power key doesn´t work

There must be a problem with your batteries. If you have recently charged your batteries and it happens again, you should try a new set of rechargeable batteries.

You can try conserving charging power usage on camera by turning the flash off so that it doesn't precharge for the next shot.

DSC-F707 Shut Off

May I suggest you to do or have done following actions: Use a philipps size 0 screwdriver and open your camera body. Then look at all the flat cables, try and disconnect them thoroughly, rub them a little bit and reconnect them. Maybe if you have another digicam, it's a good idea to take pics of how the flat cables are connected and stacked, for easy re-assembly. All your problems sound like bad contacts. Maybe dust or corrosion... I bet your 707 can find a new youth!
